Loved the vid and the music. It was almost like an awsome music video. To the people hating the music over this one, there plenty of windy storm vids but this was really cool! 👍
This makes my knees and legs weak...I'm scared of heights. But, certainly a different view from the tower. About 30 or so years ago my brother in law was in the Coast Guard and spent some time out there at Frying Pan doing some underwater welding. He said it was fascinating.
hey part of your cross way pipes the 18" one is missing. top left corner of scree while lowering the camera....or the farthest corner on your windy side. if one piece is missing you might want to question the integrity of the rest of that place. thats a lot of weight on those legs
Worked offshore on oil and gas platforms and seen 30 foot waves that rock a 12 Pyle platform. It won’t be long before that things legs rot away. Them baby waves.

The entire top is a helipad :) and we have a mooring on the East side where a boat can tie up. (or they typically just drop anchor as it's just 50' of water!) Thanks for asking. This is Richard from the Frying Pan Tower btw,
I’ve watched the live stream several times and it’s nice to see the structure and it’s going’s on! I’d love to work on the Tower solo, as I’m sure there is plenty of testing of the sea and aquatic science. I’m guessing! Thanks for the video and I’ll check out the channel as I’m finding out there are more views!
We are very interested in providing a research location for young marine biologists and scientists as our facility is unique in wind, water clarity, and dark sky conditions. Richard
Not very deep. That’s why they put a light on the structure in the 1960s to warn ships. Before we had GPS. There is a great webcam under the structure. It has the word “shark” in it.
Correct! But surprisingly when the waves are really big, say 30' or so, the legs knife right through them and the force is applied over more time than a 12' slapper! Must say, it definitely made me a bit nervous the first time I got caught out there for a hurricane with several 20-30 footers! :0
The missing horizontal tube where the waves first hit the tower supports is concerning. All the sections above water look in bad shape so the ones below will be four times as bad.
Look at that rusty rickety looking structure, it's even got missing bits on it's structure at sea level. Bugger that it looks like a disaster about to happen
The sound of the wind and waves are all that is needed, get rid of the annoying music, Im tired of pressing the mute button on these wanna be music videos.
This is incredible to see. Please keep sharing but don't add music over it. We want to hear the raw simplicity of the storm, it's so beautiful!🎉❤
Yep
I totally agree 👍🏼
This is great but take that music off
This video would be 10,000 times better without that background music. Background music is one of the worst, if not thee worst editing practice.
I'm going to be honest the fish eye camera lens got me all messed up. Can't even make out what I'm trying to look at.
2:10 bloody hell one of the horizontal support sections has rusted away!!! This thing is going to fall over soon, best evacuate it.
Easier to tie off your skiff😮
As a minimum, have an engineer check it. I noticed it too.

Nice! You got a good shot of a barracuda ❤
Great place to dive been around that area way before it became hotel or whatever
What are the plans for the base structure maintenance?
Anyone else wig out when the camera went under? Felt like "Get me OUT!!"
Thats craziness it looks like you are missing a lot of the gussets, cross members. honestly think about how long that has been in the salt water.
That steel under your feet is looking needy. Have a nice day.
Love the perspective this camera gives. Stay safe out there 🙏
I give that structure less than 5 years.
Great intro! I used to play the live Frying Pan stream at work while listening to chill drum and bass music. 🙌🏼
I only have one word. RUST!!
And Lot of TRUST!!
Top notch video. looks like one of your horizonal stabilizers failed down near sea level.
Nice fish!

Love your passion and videos of the Pan😊
Good morning FPT. Oh my goodness. Those waves!
Great to see more of the FPT especially on a very windy day
take care stay safe and thank you.☕👋🇺🇲
Thanks! Appreciated :) Richard

Look closer & this thing is crumbling overall. Scary they still put people on it, hope whatever purpose it serves is worth it.
this new rust wipe looks wild
Would be a sick fishing spot
That barnacle basket is missing giant sections of its structure. WTF are you doing?
Worked offshore on oil and gas platforms and seen 30 foot waves that rock a 12 Pyle platform. It won’t be long before that things legs rot away. Them baby waves.
There's a major section of the supports missing. You need to abandon the home or risk ending up in that water.
@2:13 Why is an entire part of your structure missing in the upper left corner of the frame??? Doesn’t look safe, or structurally sound .
Nope Nope Nope Nope Nope Nope!!! I'm good!!
Hopefully one day I can make it out there
We caught big tuna with this structure within view a few years back.
Does it scare you that the tower supports are falling apart?
U can see can you thru the marine growth wow so clever…….

I was there this past Sunday. It was rather windy and cold.
Where is this located and how would one going about volunteering time to help maintain it?
How confident are you the base won't give out? Or tip over?
And how much does the tower itself weigh?
YIKES!!!!!!!😳😳😳
Bim dia! Espero que você esteja em segurança .. 🙏🙏🙏

So how do you park your transport? Helicopter?

Someone Please Tell Me How These Cameras Are Functioning to get those 360 degre
How deep is the water beneath the tower

How does he get on it ? Helicopter or sky hook?
Why aren't you fishing?
So what’s ya record for rubbing one out in a day
What is that tower for?
To keep the house out of the water

Minisplit not long for this world in that salt air environment.
normally true, but these were coated in a specialized marine sealant that has kept them looking new for over 3 years now. Pretty awesome stuff!
@FPTower 😲😲😲😲
Hi. Why is he out there? Thats crazy!Sherry 🇨🇦.
What the….??? What is this and where is this? What is its purpose? I’m gonna Google in the meantime. Is it a navigational aid of some sort?
What?

Actually your wrong the steel completely submerged in the water will last longer than the steal exposed, I learnt that crabbing
um, nope. just the opposite but appreciate the concern. :)
Do they not make paint? Place looks in such disrepair.

You must've worked on oil rigs.
Hmmm, I think your lifestyle here could be good for a video game. Management of yourself and your resources and all....
Like a rotten Appalachian trailer park in the middle of the ocean……
Win a trip to restore? Are you kidding?
Why are you on that rust bucket?
It's not long for the world and neither are you!
Small waves what are you talking about !!!!
Keep ignoring everything telling you to get the structure fixed and you’ll end up swimming one of these days
For safety sake, that platform should be demolished.
15 seconds in.
