you forgot the missing toilets, the missing stall doors, the constant aroma of weed in the hallways leaving the security gaurds and deans to track it down, and most importantly, Juanita..
When I was at Tech, class of '58, students were not permitted to use the elevator, (with the exception of the slowest one in the country which only travelled from the basement to the eighth floor), and we didn't have lockers. We had to carry everything we needed for that day with us all day and used the stairs to get to classes, sometimes having to navigate up six floors and on the opposite side of the building. Wish I was going today. So much easier.
Wow, your video is so amazing! The clips are perfectly balanced with the music, and your video shots are balanced and detailed! You are SO SO SO talented! I graduated Tech this year, by the way. :) How much of the school do you still remember after four years? Do you miss it in any way? (You spent time creating this stunning video, after all! )
I would compare Tech to a low-tiered college... It's a lot of work but I think it really helped me prepare for what's to come. Though I can't say whether or not simply attending it will affect your chance of getting into an esteemed college, a lot of the people that interviewed me during the application process recognized my school and asked me many things about it, which I think gave them an idea of what I was like as a student. I ended up going to Hunter with a full scholarship.
Graduated Architectural program in 75 and we had slide rules man...who remembers that in the old days and my calculator was a Bomar Brain! Graduating Columbia they just released Autocad 1!
Can someone please tell me about the staircase for freshman, where exactly is the front and back staircase, is one in the south and the other one in the north?
Sumsee Islam I graduated three years ago but from what I recall it was very tough, competitive and a lot of work. Experiences vary depending on the person, but while I was there I found it very stressful and overwhelming. Once I graduated, however, I was thankful because it really helped me prepare for college and the "real world."
Wow. 😁 Thank you so much for replying to my comment. I was really just excited nervous and well I didn't know how Bklyn Tech is like and I have sooooo many questions and soooo many things I'm not sure of. And I've been looking online to see if anyone is a Brooklyn tech student or used to be one, and if they could be kind enough to tell me a bit about how the experience was like. Thank you so much ! :) x JC L
Sumsee Islam No problem. :) There are Facebook groups for Brooklyn Tech students that you can join. You can also feel free to ask me more questions if you are still curious. Oh, and once you become a technite, you start seeing them EVERYWHERE!
I don't have Facebook, I only have Twitter, Google , and Instagram XD I have another question, how are the lockers like? I know Tht they're inside the classrooms but how do we get to them and when can we? I'm sorry if I'm bothering u but I just really want to know. Thank you! :) x
Sumsee Islam Assuming locker policies haven't changed since I graduated, basically it was first come first serve. On the very first day of school people go to the classroom they want, put a lock on it and "claim" the locker. People can share lockers if they want to.
The pessimists on this video are annoying. Every school has a materialistic flaw, however overall the school is great and this video is great for anyone who doesn't go to tech, or wants to go to tech.
One thing i found off in this video.... There are supposed to be like 10x that amount of people in the elevator scene, THEN you would understand Brooklyn tech!
As a technite, I'll tell you that bullying's not really a problem, thank god, but the work might make your head explode, and there's also the problem of people smoking weed, and for some reason, toilet thieves.
wow wow , i thought this video was actually very interesting x3 did the teachers actually let you film in class? ;o ahaha, im a media major so i was just wondering how you got the clips since most teachers dont allow electronics out >w<
Do you have any disadvantage? Do you get food stamps, or help from the government, etc? You are only eligible if you do have a disadvantage along those lines.
Not true. I graduated with honors went to CCNY school of Architecture, graduated with Honors for B of Architecture and then got my Masters at Columbia University.. with honors!
I hope I get into that specialized high Skool cuz: 1) I love those kinda of skools that looks like at the movies 2) it's a good Smart Skool and has no bad boys (that's wt I think I'm only 13 I don't no much about it) I hope !!
Love how we're still using the same geometry textbook.
you forgot the missing toilets, the missing stall doors, the constant aroma of weed in the hallways leaving the security gaurds and deans to track it down, and most importantly, Juanita..
Just like old times. Awesome selection of music too.

Sure brings the memories. Nicely done.
this music makes something so ordinary look epic
in class of '17 can say caf. floor is green now and auditorium chairs are red.
What a GREAT video!!! Excellent job. Brings back many fond memories.
AWESOME. pretty much sums it up too, with all the stuff we'd manage to accomplish in a day at that school. love it!!
People steal toilets? Dafuq?? What the hell type of school am I gonna be going to?......
Class of 07' alum here, this so so nostalgic. Props to whoever made this, you're very talented.
Absolutely intense video! Great job!
Great job on the vid. I was class of '97, and this brought back lots of memories...
@twinwaters07 Implying that going to brooklyn tech with 5000 other students from all over the city makes you some sort of master race
YAY im in tech wit a 489 missed si tech by few fucking points but o wells new fresh man comin in 2013
Man I miss tech! Great video guys.

don't forget the locked bath room on almost every floor except for a few of them
Kudos for the great video
Great video!
That was a sick shot at 1:06
Great job !
I miss this school!
Good job.
well done. from '09
I had to force myself to watch the whole of it.
How is Brooklyn Tech, might transfer there for my senior year
Brooklyn Tech is a tough school but it taught me a lot. Everyone is pressured to succeed.
You cant
You are admitted via regents, unless you went to Stuy or Bronx, you can not transfer.
That’s impossible,
Only way in is in 9th grade or 10th grade
Slade Wilson not true only admitted via shsat
can you tell me about the discovery program because i was ten points below the cutoff score and i want to know if i qualified
This video is sickk. Wish it had the soccer team though. But fantastic job. Great editing
How's Brooklyn tech actually like? I'm going to be a freshmen at tech next year so I'm just wondering how it's like

I bet no one (but me) would be willing to sacrifice their copies of both Skyrim AND Portal 2 to buy a charming Irish lad such as yourself.
Love the time lapses and the riveting soundtrack! May I ask where the instrumental is from?
great job love!! so proud of u :3
this is greatttt
The pessimists on this video are annoying. Every school has a materialistic flaw, however overall the school is great and this video is great for anyone who doesn't go to tech, or wants to go to tech.
I think around 7,000 students currently attend Tech. Bill De Blasio's son also goes to this school! :0)
One thing i found off in this video.... There are supposed to be like 10x that amount of people in the elevator scene, THEN you would understand Brooklyn tech!
Seeing a highschool so big is such a foreign concept to my limited Irish self =P
How many students go here?
Don't tell me what is true or not. It is different now.
Well Skyrim and Portal 2 collectively have a very different weight of value than 2 thumbs! I could never ask such a thing of someone =P
i graduated from Tech 6 years ago and I still have nightmares getting caught sneaking into lunch by Juanita!
Would most people give up their right thumb just to own you?
As a technite, I'll tell you that bullying's not really a problem, thank god, but the work might make your head explode, and there's also the problem of people smoking weed, and for some reason, toilet thieves.
it's much bigger than what is shown
The people (staff and students) at tech are really nice, but every once in a while there's either missing/burning toilets xD
Shots Fired
i'm a bxsciite but i love the castle of a building that is tech & this is a very well-made video with creepy ass music! :D
What happened to CAP?
wow wow , i thought this video was actually very interesting x3 did the teachers actually let you film in class? ;o ahaha, im a media major so i was just wondering how you got the clips since most teachers dont allow electronics out >w<
Yes, all I had to do was ask and say it was for a project, and they let me.
Do you have any disadvantage?
Do you get food stamps, or help from the government, etc?
You are only eligible if you do have a disadvantage along those lines.
Why so serious??
Be prepared. Be very prepared. :0)
Brooklyn Tech: Where all the Stuvesant wannabes go...
Not true. I graduated with honors went to CCNY school of Architecture, graduated with Honors for B of Architecture and then got my Masters at Columbia University.. with honors!

I hope I get into that specialized high Skool cuz:
1) I love those kinda of skools that looks like at the movies
2) it's a good Smart Skool and has no bad boys (that's wt I think I'm only 13 I don't no much about it)
I hope !!
Hmm... I might need to sell myself to get there though. Would you really wish such a thing upon me? =P
WHOAAA THATS my ap calc class

@benm2012 Thanks. ;)
Well I can't blame you for that, most people would ;)
@bway2nyc Just looked at your profile. Are you really the voice actress for Ash Ketchum? :D If so, I'm honored.
