I also just answer daily grace in my mind, glad I’m not the only one! I love their studies 😍
I am so glad I found them! Beautiful guides!
I have a Hamilton Beach crockpot- the big must have features in my opinion is warm/low/high heat settings and a timer. The size is important but that depends on your family. I have noticed that I am using the slow cooker setting on my instant pot more often so if you have an instant pot with a slow cooker setting you might want to just use that
Really! I may try that first to see how it works!
It is super nice when you have a recipe like sloppy joes/bbq where you need it brown the ground beef first…I use the sauté function then switch it to slow cook- one pan!
For the slow cooker, definitely get one with a warm/low/high setting. If you can get one with a timer, that's better, because when it's "done," it'll switch over to warm automatically.
I have used a few different slow cooker brands and I haven't noticed any significant difference in quality.
Note: There are some slow cookers that have food thermometers built-in. I have not tried them, but I have heard good things.
Ooh, thank you for these points to consider!
oh I love that no screen from Mon-thurs
you gave me some great ideas for years to come.
It has been the most freeing thing :)
Hi! Would you mind sharing what microphone you use? It sounds so great!!
Thank you! It is a Sennheiser mic!
For the Generous Family curriculum, just HOW religious is it? Is it like The Good and The Beautiful, where you can get by with only scant mentions of religion, or is it super intrinsic to the curriculum? I see that it includes Bible readings, but is that optional? My husband is Christian, but I am not, and we're letting the kids choose their faith when they're old enough to make an informed decision, but I LOVE the idea of teaching them to be more kind and generous.
Hi! Great question. It contains Bible verses quoted within, and does describe God's character. There are excellent videos that accompany each lesson - some are testimonies of how God used their small act for greatness. Some videos are just showing acts of generousity. If you're open to exposing them to stories or people who believe, it may be a good fit. However, if you prefer to not expose, it may take some extra preparation beforehand. Hope that helps!
Love your realness! I can relate to buying the recipes without the buying the slow cooker...lol! Thanks for sharing the books. Quick question: How do you "schedule" all your language arts for your 6th grader?
Thank you! 😂 Our schedule makes sense to me on paper until I have to verbalize it. I think I will try to do a schedule video soon to attempt to describe it!
Do you have a link for the comic book project you mentioned?
Yes! Just added it to the description: amzn.to/48zFU73
