Thank you for your videos, ❤, i am an older learner, so many things to learn at once, my machine, digitising, different fabrics, actually making friends with my machine.
I watched this video when I didn't even have an embroidery machine. Started with a single needle and upgraded within 6 months to a 16 needle. I love embroidery however there are so many things to learn. I preach that people should not be afraid of their machine, they should have patience with themselves and take one step at a time. Every step that a person masters when it comes to embroidery is a drop in the bucket.....soon the bucket will be full. Thanks for all you do.
Boy I'm so glad somebody else has a machine and scared of it. I'm so glad he's putting pictures. I've had my machine for about 9 months, and I've not done the first thing. I think about all the money I could have made, makes being feel stupid. I've got traumatic head injury, so I forget stuff before you know. But I've got a system that helps I'm so mad at myself for not already getting me and my machine ready so count me in for the book!
Buy a bobbin tension gauge Keep a scrap shirt hooped up on a larger frame, store it beside your machine, then run an “I” test on the needles that you will be using on your newly loaded design, prior to first sew out.
Always such good advice. I've had my machine for 7 months and have felt so guilty about not having it up and running yet, but you just made me feel better. Better to wrap your head around everything and fully understand and be proficient before accepting custom orders. You reminded me to have confidence to trust myself and my timeline. Love your videos! Thanks!
Starting out I wished I purchased my machine from a place that offered lessons on how to get started embroidering. There were no classes near but I could have traveled 2 hours to find some. I instead bought closer to home in case I needed repairs. The training turned out to be more important! People today are lucky that You Tube offers a multitude of videos on embroidering. Thank you and other educators for your educational videos. They are deeply appreciated.
Even with such helpful videos as Romero shares with us I still wish I could get a machine that comes with training. There is virtually no support for my machine. Internet is very scarce with info. Good thing it’s just a hobby for now.
I purchased a Melco EMT 16X and I paid for two days of training. It was well worth the price. Not only was my trainer a trainer, she's also a technician.
I'm just starting my journey and definitely learn the basics of digitizing and learn all products needed ie cutaway tear away and several others. I studied all your videos before ordering the machine and it helped me!!!! Thank you!
Great video! My rookie mistake was getting online and buying tons of designs I thought people would like. Sometimes I’d buy 5-6 from the same place without even checking to see if the first stitched out properly. I have so many and haven’t even stitched half of them. Probably never will to be honest.
When first starting your embroidery journey I would recommend that you do not try to be a perfectionist at the beginning. Forgive yourself for all the mistakes, errors etc. and do not get frustrated with the process of learning. Take notes, lots of notes and organize them in binder or some other way. Also as Romero mentioned, lots of folks will be asking you to do embroidering for them once they know you have a machine, go slow and do not overwhelm yourself trying to accommodate everyone. Thank you Romero for all your sage advice that helps us to keep our sanity in this crazy adventure of embroidering!
Señor acabo de comprae my machine thanks for your advice. Makes me feel more confident to do some learning about my embroidery machine...thanks again..
Thank you for this advice! I'm good I can finally learn my or530. I am afraid of the machine; I hope your videos can remove my fear.I bought it since 2019 I just look at and wonde.
I run 4 machines at a logo shop. I got my own machine. I have 4 years experience. We embroidery anything and everything. I see the profit while I get paid very little. I want to be the boss and make money. I appreciate your videos. I need knowledge where I stand. If you have any videos that you feel will help me, I would appreciate that. Also, congrats on your tajima machine. I run one that's 5 years old and a new one. I run 2 toyatos. I love the tajima. I can't afford that yet. I have a bai.
Thanks a lot, I have so many things in my mind that’s make me confusing , all my days go with out benefit, I wish I have plane or system for learning carve spending every day
ALWAYS CHECK your garments are clear of the arm.. make sure only the surface you required to be embroidered is in contact with the needle plate... we have all done it at some point and stitched the back of a shirt whilst embroidering the front...😢
Love your channel and all the tips you share with us! I definitely did same thing - told everyone I have the machine and can do stuff. But in reality I’m still learning 😂
Thank you very much For the fast reply. I have other q: why does my machine does not start wright away after a Thread break? I goes on without stitching. And then skippes lots of missed stitches Wich creates big gaps thanks again
Can you explain what the tests are for tension please? This is great information so glad I found you. I just got a multi needle machine . It scares me. My piece of advice is find Romero first thing. Thank you for all you do for us.
Thank you for the comment. The quality of your stitches all depend on having the correct tension set by your upper knobs and your bobbin tension. I am linking a video down below where I go into the details of setting your tension. Let me know if you have any questions. @@RomeroThreads Hi, my machine has an auto tension setting, but the manual does not say how the changes effect the stitching from the bobbin! Any advice? Thanks so much! ~klb~
I love all your videos! I’m getting ready to start my own business and all of the info you give is worth so much thank you ! I have a question about copyright and how that works with embroidery. Can we use cartoon characters or team logos without getting in trouble or is there a way to acquire the rights? Or does it not matter much? Thank you again.
Thank you. You can not sell trademark images. You can get licensing and every company is different. You would contact the company directly or a legal company that specializes in that field.

I started embroidery at the age of 48... a totally new career choice and never looked back.. now on third machine due to upgrading from single needle flatbed to 6 needle needle arm then onto 12 needle now looking at twin head... good luck with your new career always remember to enjoy it not see it as a chore...

I have the TC-1501, which bobbins do you find work best in your machine?
We use the Fil Tec magnetic bobbins.
Thank you For the information you are Sharing. Very helpfull For a beginner. Q: what backing do you use For a Flexfit 210 BACKside Embroiering?
I use 2 pieces of 3oz tear away from AllStitch for the sides and backside of hats.
Thank you very much For the fast reply. I have other q: why does my machine does not start wright away after a Thread break? I goes on without stitching. And then skippes lots of missed stitches Wich creates big gaps thanks again
You have to back it up, then push the toggle switch so the red light lights up. If not, it’ll skip those stitches.
Great that Works 😊 now my thread Keeps poppin out my needle. Dont know what goes on. Not my best evening 😅thanks again raakt helpfull

Not using the correct needle and thread for the size of text. That was my biggest mistake, one size does not fit all.
is there a reason why you chose RICOMA over TAJIMA or BARUDAN ?

Who do you recommend for digitizing?
I use Vitor, if I send anything out.

Learn what stabilizers to use.
Great Video! Have you ever encountered when stitching presser foot and needle moving to another position the needle stays down and drags across the fabric causing needle breaks. The needle should retract then move?
I don’t think Ive ever encountered that. Needle should come up. Definitely something you should get checked out.
@@RomeroThreads Just talked with Ricoma it's a faulty solenoid. Thanks for the reply.
Excellent tips!
How can I request a quote for some digitizing from you?
Hello Maria, thank you for the comment. I do not offer digitizing service. I do digitizing for in-house projects only.

I wish I went with a Brother or Babylock instead of a ZSK. The former are just so much easier to use when you know nothing about embroidery.
