Our craft fairs have been AWESOME! Very profitable and large crowds . My best seller is the Blind date with a book. Folks were having so much fun reading the hints, wowing over the cover goodness, and the Good Reads rating. I’m adding the holiday card holder to my next show. You are so inspiring and fun. Love the first Christmas card idea. ❤
I am so glad I saw this video! I have SO much Christmas paper so this is a prefect way to use is up. I told myself I am not allowed to buy anymore Christmas paper crafts until I use some up and this is prefect idea and also a great gift for family members or friends. Thanks for the inspiration.
Well I made my first journal with this book. I went agreed and added pocket pages and the story pages and built it from there. I think I have spent about 9 hrs on it so far. It’s been fun but does take time to build it up. But that makes it fun. I also added to the top ring a lot of ribbon, lace, glitter garland and some extra baubles too ( key, ornament and gingerbread man). I have added other ephemera too and may add more. Now I am going back to my first journal with the composition book that I am working on for 2025.
Thrifty Day I love all of your videos. I was thrifting today and found the cutest vintage books! Some were Christmas, some were just regular vintage children’s books and I came across over 30 Little Golden Books that a man was just putting out. I bought about half of them. SOOO excited!
Just discovered your wonderful channel! I'm making one of these adorable card holders for myself right now. If I can find more books, I'll make a few for my craft fair in December. QUESTION: What is a suggested price range for one that's decorated as much as yours? I checked your Etsy site, but this one has already been sold. 😀 (I realize prices vary depending on location.) Thank you for the clear, detailed instructions for making this!
@@annesavage7851 hi there! Well I sold these years ago at markets when the entry fees were much less and as I mentioned in the video all of the ones I made I used donated covers so my only actual cost was paper and my time. I think I used to sell them for $25-$35 each at in person events. You would need to factor in event fees, materials, how detailed your creations are, and your time😄 Hope this helps😄
@ Thank you so much - this really helps! I found two more Golden books, and wow, these card holders are such FUN to make! I’ve got three sets of pockets folded and punched, and am having a blast decorating and adding the additional corner pockets. I’m even sewing extra strips of ruffle from various holiday fabrics to have ready to add in as I find more books next year. I’m saving the hole-punching template, as you suggested. What a great - and useful - project.
Hi Leah. Wow these are awesome. I have so many paper pads that I didn’t know what to do with them. I used some papers out of them and this is such a great idea. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Love this so much. I needed an idea for my MIL this year and this is a perfect little gift for her. She is 96 and keeps all of her cards. Thank you so much for sharing!!❤
Thank you SO much for this idea and tutorial. I have been looking for a way to save my Christmas cards for years. Like other commenters, I would also love to know how you price these when you do your craft fairs.
How adorable!! My friends and family don’t do cards often BUT I think I am going to make this for my baby. Btw, have you ever done a craft room tour? I would love to see it. I have no space due to having a baby but I live vicariously through looking at other people’s creative space!
Hi! New Subbie Here! I have been collecting Cracker Boxes to make Card Holders, However I haven't done it yet! This is a great idea using the Little Golden Books!!!! I started my You Tube Channel last Summer!
Anne again - I've been making this holder - SO much fun, thank you! I'm using the "Jingle Bells" Golden Book, and I have the pages. I'm trying to decide whether to cut apart all the pages into single pages to punch, or leave the pages in the two signatures and punching those "whole". What do you think you might do if you add pages in the future?
I love it. I want to make one for regular cards. I have a tie dye paper pack just waiting!!!! Just need to decide what to use for a cover. I love those ornament clips and can’t find them on Amazon or Hobby Lobby (not exactly like those anyway).
This is the absolute best! I have a small collection of LGBs and I am going to start this journal this evening. Quick question. Are the rings for sure 3"?
You know they may be smaller? I’ve had them for over a year and don’t have the packaging anymore. 2 inch would be great and may be what these ones are too! 😊
I’m a new subbie as well and just live your channel. I have 2 questions for you, can you tell me the name of the store where you purchased the Christmas postcards from ? And can I ask about the clips from hobby lobby-do you still have the packaging I would live to purchase some . Thank you in advance .

Super cute. I have an old Rudolph little golden book. It does have the pages. I could make it for myself to keep ❤
Wonderful! I love using the old books the most!!
Love this I idea. You could also tie fabric onto the rings to make them pretty until you do get it filled up.

The direct cards came from where??? I didn’t hear what she said!
Are you talking about the cards that she picked up at Cost Plus?
What do you charge for these?
@@tinkerdee5923 thanks for the question! I’ll answer it in detail over on Journal Talk Tuesday 😄
I wouldn’t promote Temu, they appear to use slave labor.
What did you charge for the card holder?
