Adventures in Exeter | Bibliomaniac with Robin Ince | Episode 1

- Robin Ince loves books. Maybe a little too much. In this series we travel with Robin across the UK as he visits 100s of independent bookshops and libraries to browse and give talks about his love of books.
In this first episode Robin does three shows in a day, in two libraries and an Oxfam, visits a special secondhand bookshop and gets let lose in 'the cage', the secret underground collection at the Exeter Library.
Note: Robin's lapel mic died during his talk at the main Exeter Library (which we didn't know till after the talk) so the audio for that section has some room reverb due to us having to resort to the back up mic. Apologies, everything else is fine!

I bloody love Robin
Absolutely love Robin's mind - and together with Exeter's cultural & literary treasure, Jez Winship, what a beautiful journey through books you have created.
Well done Robin and Jez. Was a great day.
i love this idea, please keeping doing the good job
Delightful video. Looking forward to the next.
Please make more of these
We are! Episode two is on the channel already.
This is Robin.. what a marvel /nightmare to be married to. The love and beauty of his mind (surely) outweighs the chaos and purist thoughts that branch upwards and reversed (a simultaneous act of conquer and defeat) must drive his wife mad. That’s what she would say, right ? PS, Robin - we’ve never met, but you are a beauty.. please don’t stop, forever ❤❤
The section at around 29:00 is so important
We want a re-issue of the Thesiger autobiography. When do want it? We want it now.
That feller off the science podcast bloody loves books
