Love love love this show! Thanks, Brandon!
Brandon, I watch your content with my mom whom I'm a live in aide for and she absolutely loves your laugh!
Me too
I, for one, know for a fact that the leader of the 3 zealots sent to kill Simon Z in episode 6 of season 3 is returning in season 5. I had a hunch about this character, so I looked the actor up and found out he was on the set as that character on the first day of filming of season 5. I figure he will either be Barabbas or the repentant man crucified alongside Jesus. Pretty cool, huh?
I hope in Season Five and or Six we get the reaction of Judas' sister to his actions and death. She was right on the money about him, no pun intended.
@@RazorO2Productions probably episode 2 of season 6 will be all about Judas and his suicide. Maybe we see a flashback from his Father death as well.
That black table is amazing
One of your thoughts caught my attention.
I will answer you the same answer that Thaddeus told Peter at the Wedding at Cana about the latrines.
There is no "sot" job as they say in my country.
I wouldn't mind taking out the trash or cleaning up on the set.
As for St. Paul he never met Christ in his lifetime, he saw him in a vision in Damascus.
WHY SHMUEL IS NOT PAUL
(Or at least it shouldn't be)
1. Different names. Saul in hebrew is "Sha'ul", not "Shmu'el".
2. Different ages. When Stephen died, Saul was a "young man" (Acts 7:58). Shmuel isn't young at all.
3. Different teachers. Saul was a student of Gamaliel. Shmuel was a student of Nicodemus.
4. Different hometowns. Saul was from Tarsus. Shmuel is from Capernahum.
Nothing in the show suggests that he was from somewhere else and moved to Capernaum.
5. Different positions. Jesus called the Sanhedrin "the elders" (Matthew 16:21), and, again, Saul was a young man, so he wouldn't be part of that elderly assembly, like Shmuel.
6. Different outcomes. If Saul had followed Jesus' ministry from the beginning, he or one of the evangelists would certainly have spoken about this.
Here you may say "Well, yeah, to be an apostle he would have to have witnessed everything from the beginning, as Acts 1 says"
But that was just what Peter *thought* was necessary. I would say that when Jesus called Paul, he proved Peter wrong.
7. Different names!
I agree mostly, though there are a few things i would push back on.
We don't know Saul's age. Yes he's called a "Young man" at the stoning of Stephen, but that's all we really know. Saul was likely a part of the Sanhedrin. If not directly in the Sanhedrin, then connected to it in some way for sure. In the Show itself we're never told Shmuel's age. He grew up in Jerusalem and regardless of any of that he would've had intimate knowledge of Jesus since he lived there and had many high level religious connections. Saul was "From Tarsus" But grew up in Jerusalem as we see in Acts. IN the Show Shmuel is operating in Caperaum, but he has no ties there. No family, no friends outside the religious group. so just like we see Yussif ( Joseph of Arimathea ) he could be here as some sort of internship. I'm not at all saying that The Chosen is proving some new biblical truth, just that it could be an interesting take. we'll all see in season 6-7 most likely.
Actually, the pronunciation of the name in Hebrew actually makes me think Smuel is Saul. Transliteration of names is not easy because sounds are different in different languages. Why else have so many foreign city names been changed in the last 50 years to more correctly transliterate the pronunciation (Bombay vs Mombasa, Peking vs Bejing, etc.)? This is also true of names as in Jesus/Joshua/Yeshua.

Original name ➡️ Transliteration
Shmu'el ➡️ Samuel
Sha'ul ➡️ Saul
Not the same name.
I really like Shawn Sharma and can see him being a charismatic or charming Saul, even though it really doesn't make sense because Acts would be very clear if he was there. But, I'd totally be on board for him to be Saul.
This is probably not important and the story arc would be really cool, but I still feel like Shmuel is too old to be the "young man named Saul" guarding the garments of those stoning Stephen 3-4 years AFTER Jesus ascended to heaven. (ref. Acts 7)
Yeah I would agree, it’s just a theory overall. Shmuel has definitely aged quickly through the series. Looking back at season 1 (3 years earlier) he’s def supposed to be a younger rabbi.
Remember though Saul was most likely a member of the Sanhedrin he was a leader before he pursued Christians, not just a kid on the side lines.
I love the aesthetic of Caiphus' house.
I tend to agree with you on Shumel. Kinda makes sense.
It would be so interesting to see Shmuel as Saul who later turns into Paul it would make so much sense and I will be happy to see him return to Jesus again❤
@@evangelistmrsgraceosahon7568 you think it would make sense if his name changed all of the sud from Shmuel to Saul?
Shmuel cannot be Saul. He comes from Capernaum, while Saul comes from Tarsus.
Saul never met Jesus in his lifetime.
He saw him in a vision in Damascus. I can't see Samuel becoming a persecutor.
For Samuel Jesus is a heresy because he is too ingrained in his traditions and does not have the open-mindedness of Yussif or Nicodemus.
Hey Brandon 👋
Interesting that, in real life, Saul's Hebrew name is Shaule(Sha-ool). But there is no "sh" sound in Greek so it was written & passed down as Saul. Same with King Saul in the Old Testament. This change was also made for him when they translated the Hebrew scriptures in the Septuant - Greek. And most of our copies of the Old Testament are in Greek. Until the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
Poor jude's his sisters worst fear comes to pass
"When is it not about money with you?
Prophetic words.
I bet the zealot that followed Zee is Barrabas. The one Jesus addressed after healing Veronica.
I can't see Shmuel murdering Christians as Saul so I'm really hoping that isn't the case. I love The Chosen, and that would be hard to see, for me anyway. 😊 So, I'm holding out for someone else 🙏
Why do you think we’re getting a teaser trailer at the end of this month?
Barabba was a Zealot.
Haha, whats she doingbin the dumpster. Lol!
In Chosen series, Did Barnaby married Shulah?❤
Nice video, Brandon. ❤
Hello Brandon Della Warren here
👍
That water looks dirty. I missed some of this on Sunday
Hello Brandon
Lol I was going to ask about chosen con lol
Christ Died (FOR YOUR SINS)
WAS BURIED
ROSE AGAIN (The Third Day)
Accept this truth and you shall not perish but have everlasting life by he who is The Life, Jesus the Christ!!!
" Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John11:25-26
… Paul never met Jesus until on the road to Damascus, don’t be foolish
We don't know that at all. Paul Was most likely in the Sanhedrin so he would've known about Jesus absolutely. I don't know what the chosen will do though.
@@TheChosenSleuth Saul may have known about Jesus, but did not know him personally as stated in the Acts of the Apostles. So I really don’t see how Shmuel could end up being Saul/ Paul.
@@TheChosenSleuth Paul literally says he never met the Lord in person, it doesn’t mean he isn’t in the Sanhedrin 🤣🤣
