This is why I love youtube. Bought a tent that is shaped like this but open ended so a child can climb in and out. Of course no directions to fold it back up. After luckily not breaking it for the half n hour of trying it my own way I suddenly remembered to look on youtube. I'm giving the tent to my Granddaughter for her birthday coming up. I'm going to let my son suffer a bit with frustration before I show him how to fold it now that I know. Thank you for posting.
this guy deserves a medal - he also succeeded where few other videos have this evening - actually teaching me to fold up my tent after i loaned it out to people who didnt give it back in its case. need to get some pegs now as i didnt get them back but at least im not fighting and cursing at canvas and rods in my student flat at 4am anymore

Best demonstration! Nice and slow for thickos like us to follow. It was a big mistake to erect the tent in our sitting room as a) it took up the whole room and b) we couldn't fold it up as the accompanying instructions were useless. We had to sit inside it to watch TV last night!

I bought one at the boarder crossing between Thailand and Cambodia. We live in the mangroves at the 333 Cafe and Massage. When the tent popped open, the dogs started barking and the chickens and ducks ran away squawking. Everybody tried to get into it at the same time. I had to beat them off with a stick. I tried to fold it up for an hour. My wife calmly watched and then walked up and handed me the bag that the tent came in with the instructions printed on it. I love my wife.

excellent. This is basically same as a 'sansbug' that we just got, and this is the same as how I fold it. I do kneel down to the right of it while holding the 'taco' with my left. Then I grab the top like you show, fold it down, and the upper portion turns into a figure-8 which overlaps easily enough. Kneeling next to it helps me hold it all more stable, but this is pretty much same thing. Easy peasy after doing it a couple of times.
what i really find cool about these tents - and which obviously hardly anyone knows - is that the tent-poles got a click system, that allows repairs. I got one pole broken by folding it - i waited until this year of an end of a festival to look for a similar tent and found one. There are many hooks and sum velcro at the sides that connect the inner and outer tent. After removing these the outer tent stretches into flat form and you can easily remove the poles: There's a plastic-claw with an opening at one side, beneath is a small metal pipe holding the pole-ends together.
It was so effortlessly done by him!! The first time I did it I did good cause I had watched a video on how to do it but the second and third time I was having trouble and then I just did a horrible job and packed it away 😅
