You sir are a genius ,I’ve had my Quechua tent half hanging out the bag in the shed for yrs, didn’t sit right with me not being able to put it back in properly.decided to watch some vids and go smash it,your was the winner, cheers mate
I had this exact tent 10+ years ago in the UK - I never knew how good it was! I'm not a camping person so I thought it was just a cheap thing at the time, I only used it to go to a couple of festivals. It was still in perfect condition after several uses, being carried by foot, trains and coaches. Last week I bought my next, much more expensive, standard tent and I'm so disappointed with it. The floor is almost like paper. My old Quechua pop-up had a really decent tarpaulin flooring - I wasn't at all worried about it tearing. But in my new tent I had to get a travel blanket out of the car to put down for fear of tearing the floor with my plastic crate of camping gear. And it took forever to put up and put down - it's only a small 2 person but it has so many ground stakes and fly lines. So now I'm reminiscing fondly and looking to buy another pop-up tent for when stopping at campsites by car. Shame we don't have Decathlon in NZ - I'm still using an air mattress and some running kit that I bought from them more than a decade ago. Was good quality & decent prices. (the tent was a little too large to ship when I moved back here).
Man that was ok, I was in tomorrowland and I had one of these tents (I bought it from the festival so I had no clue how it works) and the last day it took me about 1 hour to fold it up, thanks to all my neighbor campers who helped me that day haha.
Great. Thanks for the clarity. It's a slightly different method than my previous pop up tent and I was really struggling. Tent is packed away nice and flat now.
This is definitely a different method than my popup tent (very basic model, brand crivit). But it works and it's even more compact than before, thanks lol! Last year after a festival we did a round on the campsite. We picked up 4 of these abandoned little buggers for free 😂
I was getting so frustrated with this, the first twist went fine but struggled with the second one.. But finally got it. Thank you so very much for this info I appreciate it. I practiced a few times, watched your vid over and over again until it finally went smooth. THANK YOU💜
It's a good tip to stand on the middle of the tent whilst doing the twisting , the hardest part is definitely thinking you're going to break the poles but as soon as you manage the twisting then it gets much easier
THANK YOU SO MUCH it is that last fold that is challenging as you think it's gong to break - I just folded up the 3 man no worries due to this great video THANK YOU
Thanks I had no idea how to refold a similar tent my son popped open in his room. These are a somewhat awkward shape for hiking but are very easy to pack away in a 4x4 for motorized camping. Once you learn to fold them they are much faster to pitch and break down than any other tent type.
I have one of these tents. Easy to Deploy but very difficult to put back up. Notice the man is in a very secluded location, sheltered from the wind and not on dirty uneven soil. There is virtually no wind blowing. This thing is a beast to try to fold up in a 30 mph gusty wind. I tried for an hour and finally gave up and covered it with a trap. I will return on a calm day. Notice it says a two man tent. Well it probably needs two men to put it back in a bag with a howling gusty wind. Just dug out my old tent. For me it is worth the extra time not to be totally stressed out while trying to fold it back up.
Thanks for your help, I broke my tent after folding it in the bag and zipped it, it open in 3 sec as mentionned in the add. I broke it in 3 sec if anger....lol
@@RichardB1983 Hi. After the tent is fully folded, is it possible to bend it a little bit like this ( just to make it more narrow and fit into a backpack ?
Hiya Richard, I have the newest 2017 version of this tent and it has red and yellow clips to clip the tent together when you are folding it away but the red clips don't seem to go anywhere? Also in Decathlon they are selling a new 'cool' black and white tent which claims to deflect the sun away and I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these?. I live in France by the way so there are lots of Decathlon stores near me. I know that there used to be Decathlon in the UK but I heard that they were closing down
Hello from the North. According to a lady from Decathlon, you should first go inside the tent and bring the straps at the back from the inside to the out. From there on it was a blur but the idea is probably to click the clips together as you go so it forms a tighter circle. She apparently used the same "pretzel" technique as Richard on the video.
Haha, hey thanks a lot Paul! Just got back from camping in the Alps and yes I actually figured it out! Yes you have to go inside and pull the red handle and then connect it to the clips on the outside. It sounds weird but it actually makes it a bit easier! With the old ones it was difficult until you worked it out but then it was ok when you got the hang of it
bustard ! I have broken my tent following this way...then I got the right way at pop up outdoor...they showed me right way..but already my tent is broken..damn
I use the tent about two times a year. Every time I watch thi video. And the Nobel prize goes to….the maker of this video. Thank you!

I’ve been struggling for about an hour then chanced upon this
Genius!
SO much easier than the visual instruction in the bag
Thanks Richard, much easier to follow you than the drawings instructions inside the bag 😅 hadn’t used it in years and couldn’t figure it out 🙌🏼
Lifesaver! Couldn't figure out how to get this packed away.... You saved me a lot of frustration and head scratching!
I'm going camping for the first time tomorrow and this video really is a life saver, i got so frustrated.
thank you so much!
How sensible to look before you go
I didn't have words to express my gratitude. Thank you so much for this very useful, practical demonstration . Stay blessed....
You absolute hero. Couldn’t find the right instructional video anywhere.
We have to watch the video every time! Thanks so much for making it easy 🏕️⛺🤔🙄🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for a very well done video. The cat long should hire you!
Hello 😁
thank you so much, this was the solution on monday after the "burning mountain" festival 🕉😍
greetings from 🇨🇭

This size of tent packs down differently to others.
Really appreciate your help..
I washed my tent and it stayed two days open in the living room because no one could remember how to close it 😂😂 this video saved me, thanks!
Mine stayed open for a few weeks in a spare room lol ^^

Mine was in back of transit for weeks back in the bag again great. Figure of 8 and fold.
Great. Thanks for the clarity. It's a slightly different method than my previous pop up tent and I was really struggling. Tent is packed away nice and flat now.
Best explanation seen so far and managed to help me finally fold it up. Thank you Richard :)
I once put one down instantly in a force 10 hurricane at a Spanish music festival. Haven’t managed it since…until now. Thanks

Cheers Richard saved us in the wind trying to work it out 😂
Brilliant! Am all back to normal size after being the giant circle in the garage rafters. All ready for Stonedeaf Feastival now! Thanks Bro!
Just what I needed, not done mine for years. Thanks.
This must be the hardest tent to put away. The instructions are clear as mud
I was getting so frustrated with this, the first twist went fine but struggled with the second one.. But finally got it. Thank you so very much for this info I appreciate it. I practiced a few times, watched your vid over and over again until it finally went smooth. THANK YOU💜
Thanks. All sorted now. I’ve just been going mental trying to work this out!

Perfect tutorial, thank you so much!
Este vídeo me salvo a la hora de plegar mi tienda en el Arenal, bendito seas macho.

Always looks easier on screen 😊
Thank you! This worked for my 3 person Active & Co pop up tent from Kmart
Thank you Richard
You've just saved our trip! Thanks bro!
Great video😄
Thank you man! You save my life! XD
Thanks you , your save my life, you are the best of the universe
God bless you sir, you're doing the lord's work.

Bought one... The first few times I struggled...now I can close it almost intuitively.
Thank you!!! Life saver 🤗
Very helpful! Thanks
Excellent video. Thank you
It fitted well in the bag. Nice one...
Great instructions - much appreciated - thanks
finally a decent video, thanks!
Thank you !! I thought I’m going to be stuck with the unfolded tent for the rest of my life in the living room!! 🥹
1:20 is where i met my foe.
Much better guidance than the official included instructions (if you can even call them that).
Thank you.
Wow thanks so much, I managed to do it by myself in 15 minutes
Thanks for your help, I broke my tent after folding it in the bag and zipped it, it open in 3 sec as mentionned in the add. I broke it in 3 sec if anger....lol
What's the price of this tent? And where to buy?
thanks and regards from italy
go to a secluded spot and practice a couple of times times !!.. Thanks great vid
Thank you so much! I was really struggling and it's now in the bag!
Thank you so much !
Compact little tent that Richard, nicely done.
Is it comfort to bring up when we are hiking?
The bag has straps that you can wear like a backpack, but if you are taking other kit - then it probably isn't practical for serious hiking

Lifesaver !
Thank you very much indeed!
You saved my life
Top job
Thaaaaaank you!!
This help me tonight
Das war hilfreich Danke
I tried on my old 3 sec, it goes a little bit smaller in this way and u have to force the frame. Btw two eights, simple as that impossible to forget

Hero.
So easy to pop up and the hell when it com to store it...why they don’t print a visual manu l on the ⛺️.
There is a guide printed on a flop-out in the case. Not easy.
Looks like Captain America's shield 😂
thank you soooo much this video was a lifesaver I love you please marry me
This is why you practice in the backyard, dont listen to your wife lmao. I just say its research
bustard ! I have broken my tent following this way...then I got the right way at pop up outdoor...they showed me right way..but already my tent is broken..damn
This is for a two person tent, there’s another technique for one person. How do I know? I struggled for half an hour trying the wrong technique. 😂
I thought you were gonna fold it in 3 seconds
