Hey guys, I just came across your stuff, and am enjoying it a great deal. I've got a comment about the self defense cable whip though. I carried and used a variation or two of this some 40+ years ago, as street fighter in my early thru late teens. My first iteration was simply a staighted out wire coat-hanger. I would either coil it up in a coat pocket or back pants pocket, or run it thru the belt loops around my waist. It was easy to deploy, and could be tossed without being too obvious. The the biggest drawback was that if blocked by a hard rod such as a tire-iron, it would wrap and he defender could easily take it from me. That led to using a 24-30inch long bike lock cable, much like what you were demoing. I prefered the kind with the small loop on each end, with an aluminum tube swaged on to connect the loop. I'd cut the loop off one end, just past the alum piece. This carried much more force than the coat-hanger, and was too thick to wrap and be yanked away. Interesting to see the idea being commercialized. You guys did a great job testing them. I'll be watching your stuff often.

The low mass of the whip means that something baggy or loose has a better chance of stopping it. For example, a golf ball travels about 150 MPH and can go through plywood but you can use almost any sheet to stop the momentum. Hitting your back provided this cushion while your sleeve did not have the room to give way and slow the speed of the whip down in time.

If anything I just made it worse because Jay felt more comfortable hitting me harder
I love how the girl in the back disagrees with his choices
The face and quick, little “ahh” at 9:15 had me in tears. I’m sure it sucked taking the shot but the reaction was hilarious.
That was funny to watch. You take those shots like a champ.
Bdsm has a whole another level.

You guys really crack me up. Your show is great. Love your content its honest stuff. Sometimes I think the problem with aikido isn't the technique. What if It is the lack of setup? Would be a cool experiment if you could get a "proficient aikido practitioner". Collaborate with him/her to pick one technique and try to pressure test it into being effective. Would be cool to see what it turns into. A fighter has the experience and knowledge to find range,, angle, take position in order to deliver the payload. A punch, sprawl , an armbar, kamehameha hadouken what ever they have.
dude I'm just gonna say I love you so much for not being racist. and a former cop at that. and you are open minded enough to bang with former felons in questionable fight venues. You are one special dude.
