playing on S92, and camping at 14 is a good idea, as getting there is a lot easier then when I started playing 4 years ago. The addition of field training does make it easier to get the officers needed for the grinding.

For the new players watching this video, small caveat to what Rev said: there are some hostiles in faction space that do not give faction rep. There are some systems, that just have random hostiles like Pakleds or whatever. If it doesn't say Federation/Romulan/Klingon it will not give faction rep. There are some systems in Romulan and Klingong Space that have named hostiles but do not award faction rep. These were intentionally added to allow players to participate in events that require you to hit Romulan/Klingon hostiles while not also lowering your rep. Sadly nothing for Federation like that added as of this comment date. TLDR: Just double check the hostiles in the system before you blindly try to raise rep in a random faction system.
I just sent a ticket into support to reset my progress as a new player. I surged through 1-15 thinking I had to complete the events in order to 'level up' but once I hit 15 - and realized that I was very ill equipped to continue, I figured wash it all now, or regret it horribly in the future.
My advice for starting out is to spend all your faction credits on officer pulls until level 24. Then switch to focus on saving for the ops 26 faction ships. When I did this though, I “finished” each level along the way.
I tested a 1-30 account 2 years ago. Realta, corvette, 2 unfortunate the day I could build them, talla, dual faction at 14 (rom/Klingon) 3 envoy the day I could build, then spent my first and only money: $20 for NorthStar at ops 18. NS took me all the way to my cent at ops 28 and had a 1m power cent before I could hit ops29. Hunted extra horizon bp to have two of those as well when I could build. Ops 30 was less than 90 days of heavy play. I was tri locked at ops 30 as well on that account. I did have 2 main/alt accounts before I started this test account. (NS let me raid and kill everything I needed to.)
The field trying doesn't work. It keeps telling me I finished the training but won't give me the reward and resets when you leave the screen. Ty for all the work on your videos.

Every SLB that pops up for ship, xp and recruit I easily win. Not sure how long I'm going to sit, but eventually I'm going to transfer to a newly opened server and jump to 19, pause for researches, then move up.

My issue is the field training, i am struggling to get 3 stars beyond level 4. Above 4 i only have 1 star each at each level. Is there anyway to pay past the levels with latinum or something?
Camping at level 14 is complete nonsense. What changes at 15? Your base can be attacked, well guess what I'm level 24 now and so far my base didn't get attacked even once. And that while I'm not using shields and have millions of unprotected materials. And even if my base would get robbed, would I really care so much that it's worth kinda stop playing the game at level 14? No off course not, getting hit is not that of a big deal and it probably won't even happen.
Running to level 12 on a server and then waiting until a day 1 new server launches can be a thing if playing with people you know on alt accounts. Going from 2 to 14 ops took me 2 weeks of play when COVID-19 lockdowns hit. It would be MUCH faster now.... Away teams make latinum much more accessible. Missions+Field training until you reach faction space will get you an immersive start.
As for Pike....I was 28 ops before getting transporter patterns and unlocking PMC... If I had Pike at 18 ops? That 20 dollar Northstar pack is it's own video
I found that having an ops 20 account on an established server (26) gives me a good chance at getting some of the newer officers As long as I don't have to compete with Ops 29 that has access to all the point options while my only option is to build and max kehras
@@m.gardner6173 currently 3T9 NS working on XP maxing now one is max and I think I have 10 Kehra that are T8 or T9 one of those is lvl 45 and slowly working on the rest in case I decide to lvl up and scrap them. I have 3 BB and I'm also sitting on enough prints to build 4 Vahklas, and one of each of these: Kumari, Discovery, Mayflower and D3. I also have 24/40 for a horizon so I am in good shape if I decide to go to Ops 26 anytime soon.
@@nickm9102 nice! Don’t power up the vahk or kum. They are a waste of 3*. The mayflower can wait until you are almost ready to scrap one at ops 34. So, ops 31-ish to build. NS can get even swarms done to ops28, but it is a bit grindy from ops 28 to shipyard 28 and a 28 ship.
I'm stuck on the combat tree. I cant seem to get the last shards for Moreau to get her to lvl 5. Am I missing a mission or something? I think the 34 out of 38 I have came from missions, but cant get the last 4.. Any thoughts? Thanks

Playing on APAC 201 server to start a new game and get it upped to lvl 12. Finding out that 202 is up but not available to transfer yet. When searching online nothing states when you can join or transferr to a new server at all. (Minor comment from another player apparently he has been waiting for months for 202 to start to no avail yet.) How do i find new server start up times and when can we join them. Another thing, i cannot start a new game on any server from my phone. I have an existing account at lvl 35 on APAC 195 server and it just goes straight there. Do i have to request to delete an account i have put $$ into to start anew? On PC though it seems i was able to start a new account. Easy navigation between accounts can make life easier (being im locked into PC access only and i cant just refresh a minor or deny a raid) kind of frustrating tbh. Also love the videos they have helped heaps with the game and kept me interested in playing with like minded players who love the space faring multiplay game.
So I have been holding my tongue over this video hoping you would create a campers channel so I could show screenshots of level 18-20s that are dual and triple faction locked. Or pics where level 18s are crushing level 40 faction ships. I agree not everyone likes or wants to play the min-maxer hammer style. However not everyone wants to be crushed and emptied out while playing as a small fish in big pond. So as a min maxer I total disagree with your assessment of camping at level 14 as well as the ships you recommend to through level 20. Since the game is really a glorified version of rock, paper, scissors (with a sizing chart) at level 10 I would recommend build and max 2 phindras. Btw they are way cheaper to repair both in time and materials than the tala. So use those to grind with, not the tala. At level 12 earn your free Jellyfish. Max that puppy out. The jelly fly way up into level 31 star systems the tala only reaches as high as level 27 star systems. The jelly is an excellent ship for the levels it was designed for level 12-17. However at level 18 you want a North Star. It can take you a little north of Sol system. Maxed out it gets about 400k in strength at level 18. For reference the Jelly goes about 90k in strength at level 18. A maxed out Tala only gets about 60k in strength. A level 20 player with a maxed kehra will have a ship about 400k in strength. These are important numbers because a 14 can be attacked by players as high as level 16. A 16-20 can be forced into battle by the level 18’s North Star. The tala is useless at that point. Also with the right officers a 365k NorthStar can crush level 40 federation faction ships in wolf. If you race up levels Without leveling up both officers and ships you may find yourself competing against me or my fellow min-maxer allies. If you are using a tala and you enter level 20 just know at level 21 you can be attacked by players as high as level 27 ish. And at level 22 you can be attacked by level 30-32 ish. So if you think a tala is no good against 400k NorthStar just imagine what kind of ships and pain the level 30s can bring to rain down on your base. So be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond. The choice is yours.
I am new to this game my ops is at level 13. I have figured out about this game is you cannot have a full-time job and play this game on the regular bases. I work anywhere between 8 to 10 hours a day by the time you get home cook do dishes take a shower in the rest of time before you go to bed is limited. So you cannot be an adult who has a job and play this game all the time.
Honestly, I wouldn’t ignore the Phindra and Turas, necessarily at Ops 14. While not as effective as the Talla for grinding and base cracking, materials are more plentiful today than they used to be so maxing them isn’t all that taxing (plus what else are you saving that much 2* uncommon for?). Because 3* rare materials are harder to find in the early 20’s, maximizing your 2* scraps isn’t a waste by any stretch. Plus it’s never too early to reinforce the paradox that you’re 1* ships are more worth saving than your 2*’s so scrap them as often as possible
You’re not going to need level 3 material for awhile but if you are doing dual faction grinding, complete your mining daily’s for your factions which is 3* material.

Glad you are redoing the old helps, eventually you will redo officers for lower and mid ships

The new low game has been updated and it is way more interesting than the last time I went through it.

How’d you rep grind at such low level? Lowest hostile faction ships I see are 20k +

Just because it's not a big deal to you, doesn't mean it isn't for others
the only issue with saving the 7 day tokens is the cooldown on claiming them.
But you can pull them fairly fast. Does take time for sure. I had 2 D’vor fairly quickly due to holding them until the bp showed up.
Is it better to open all the ultra recruit packs at l14 or save them for later when you are a higher level?

I think you are more likely to get Battleship parts, if you destroy enemy Battleships. You also get a little bit from doing the Daily Missions.

Research is probably the most important part of the game with as much as it effects. Make sure your research is caught up is quite important.
Officers are right there too, but RNG makes it hard to control acquisition.
