Troquei meu Yamaha MM6 num XP60. Não me arrependo... Muito bom mesmo. Apesar de de sentir falta de alguns Hodes Pad e leads. Outro nível. Covardia comparar
Tá parecendo expansão meu nobre,eu tenho um xp80 e as amostras de piano acústico dele são bem datadas da época,esse piano do começo parece ser alguma expansão,tanto é que ele tem um som,e quando entra o segundo timbre"pianos +strings" dar pra ver que não é mais o mesmo piano,e sim o original do teclado🙂
If you find an XP80 for sale make sure to check under the keys and look at the epoxy that holds the weights on. What you want is the black looking epoxy. You do NOT want the "reddish" looking epoxy, which will ooze over time and make a real problem. Also, my XP80 was having intermittent power supply issues. I tracked that down to a bad solder joint on the power supply board. Get the Blue Screen LCD for swapping out a faded original LCD. And get a USB Floppy Drive emulator.
I own 2 XP-80s and I have to say that this is my all-time favorite keyboard that is still in heavy use today. I use the sequencing functions for all of my songs on my CDs. The pianos are among my favorites, especially the "West Coast" patch. In my opinion, this beats the newer keyboards that Roland put out like the Fantom. Those newer keyboards lack the depth and characteristics of the XP-80.
YUP. I'd run over a Phantom to get to another 80 in my beloved Challenger 340 any day of the week! Plus, it's too EFFING HEAVY, ugly sound, AND STILL $3,000! Roland is getting stupid with that. It'll have to be MOVED, whatever they come up with. A LOT. At LEAST give you a wheeled case!
I use the RPS function to customize auto comping that sounds WAY better than those auto comp ready keyboards. It contains bass, 2 rhythm guitars spreaded left and right, a pad or strings, and another keyboard rhythmic part (e.p, organ, clavinet or similar) and the drums sequenced in a 2 bar loop

This is one of the first keyboards I purchased and my last one the XS8 Yamaha Motif and I must say that the XP80 was by far ahead of it’s time when it was released .You can mix sixteen Patches together in Performance mode , also the Floppy Drive can be replaced with a USB 2.0 device which plugs into the Floppy connector..

Yes this sounds like all the factory patches in my XP-60...... and with all the 20+ keyboards that I own, this one is my favorite specially because of the feel of the keybed and also I have all 4 expansion slots full !! ;-)
One of the best keyboards i´ve had. Easy to use, gives so much! Install the vintage synth collection card, and you´ll get a Roland D70 among other great sounds.

Finally, a youtube Rolando XP demo recorded in high quality audio! I owned this keyboard for many years. Loved to create arrangements on it. The sounds are amazing. I now own so many software synths, but I still miss this. The sounds they put into the Roland XP 50 (jv 1080) were master-piece type of sounds. No software synth now a days comes with a bundle as great as this. I wish someone would recreate this into a software synth. Roland XP is such a landmark in the history of contemporary music.
I am going to buy another one. It is one of the best synths thati have eveer owned. I was going to get a Korg N264, but one of my friends told me about the ability to expand the sounds and I was sold once I herad the demo

Hello, what kind of piano is the first piano sound?? It's a beautiful, catchy sound, which doesn't exist in the xp series banks. Have you edited a patch? or does the sound come from a different source, or from the Piano srjv80 expansion? thanks
I own the xp 60 which the same just 61 keys. It sounds great. Very usable sounds . Alot of vintage tones. If i ever got rid of it id make sure to replace it with the integra so as to not lose the sounds and have many more.
Are you using the piano expansion board? Or are those the stock sounds that come with the instrument? I own two XP 80s and the rack mount version, my brother has three XO-80's. We both have owned just about every keyboard that this keyboard can imitate, and of all the other keyboards out there on the market, this one is still our favourite even here in 2016. The # of parameters you can edit are incredible! The expansion boards are a must! I own them all except for the Voice board.
I have this great keyboard, sadly, it stopped working after many years of being IN THE CASE!! The keys got stuck. I believe things go bad if no use. 😞😞 rest in peace XP80.

O XP 80 foi e é o melhor sintetizador da roland da era digital..Eu tenho um e um fantom g .Muitos sons são melhores no xp 80....tem mais harmónicos.A roland não tem feito nada de bom ultimamente......
I can afford to buy whatever keyboard I want. But the XP-80 with all the expansion boards is still my all time favorite, even though it’s been out of production for years. I found the pianos play better from a piano touch keyboard. It lacks USB, but most of us have MIDI to USB adapters anyway. It has 4 audio outputs, a hold pedal and 4 jacks which can all be used for either expression pedals more momentary foot pedals. It had so many programming features, it’s a shame they never developed more software for it.
+The Union Beats The first piano sample might be from Session expansion, though to me it seems more beautiful than the one in the Session card (I own an xp30). I think the other sounds are mostly preset patches.

Eu troquei esses dias meu Kurzweil SP88 pelo XP80 e não me arrependo, sinto falta do Piano, mas fora isso o XP80 é muito superior.

Finally, a youtube Rolando XP demo recorded in high quality audio! I owned this keyboard for many years. Loved to create arrangements on it. The sounds are amazing. I now own so many software synths, but I still miss this. The sounds they put into the Roland XP 50 (jv 1080) were master-piece type of sounds. No software synth now a days comes with a bundle as great as this. I wish someone would recreate this into a software synth. Roland XP is such a landmark in the history of contemporary music.

I am going to buy another one. It is one of the best synths thati have eveer owned. I was going to get a Korg N264, but one of my friends told me about the ability to expand the sounds and I was sold once I herad the demo

Hello, what kind of piano is the first piano sound?? It's a beautiful, catchy sound, which doesn't exist in the xp series banks. Have you edited a patch? or does the sound come from a different source, or from the Piano srjv80 expansion? thanks

I own the xp 60 which the same just 61 keys. It sounds great. Very usable sounds . Alot of vintage tones. If i ever got rid of it id make sure to replace it with the integra so as to not lose the sounds and have many more.

Are you using the piano expansion board? Or are those the stock sounds that come with the instrument?
I own two XP 80s and the rack mount version, my brother has three XO-80's. We both have owned just about every keyboard that this keyboard can imitate, and of all the other keyboards out there on the market, this one is still our favourite even here in 2016. The # of parameters you can edit are incredible!
The expansion boards are a must! I own them all except for the Voice board.

I have this great keyboard, sadly, it stopped working after many years of being IN THE CASE!! The keys got stuck. I believe things go bad if no use. 😞😞 rest in peace XP80.

You Also Can Found This Patches On Roland Latest Synths(Juno DS,INTEGRA 7,XPS10/30,And FANTOMS).Because They Brought Back The Old School Patches Such As Fantasia JV,My Favourite Patchs

Son de fabrica amigo, eso era cuando roland lideraba la industria en teclados y sintes, hoy Roland es el cuarto o quinto, los líderes indiscutidos son yamaha y korg

I can afford to buy whatever keyboard I want. But the XP-80 with all the expansion boards is still my all time favorite, even though it’s been out of production for years.
I found the pianos play better from a piano touch keyboard.
It lacks USB, but most of us have MIDI to USB adapters anyway.
It has 4 audio outputs, a hold pedal and 4 jacks which can all be used for either expression pedals more momentary foot pedals.
It had so many programming features, it’s a shame they never developed more software for it.

+The Union Beats The first piano sample might be from Session expansion, though to me it seems more beautiful than the one in the Session card (I own an xp30). I think the other sounds are mostly preset patches.
