    thanks for sharing Marc. Your opponent plays so fast, he even start rolling and moving when you haven't completed your move! lol

    In Eastern Europe we do not play with a cube because in Backgammon the game can very quickly & at last moment turn around by just a couple of good rolls..
    so basically being forced to give up a game just because the opponent thinks at that moment is in the lead doesn't really make any sense, the game isn't over until it's over

    My proper XG cubeless analysis results (all moves analyzed in XGR++ setting):
    PRs 3,21 vs 9,87
    Errors 10 vs 22
    Blunders 3 vs 12
    Jokers 12 vs 15.
    GM Marc's stats after a detailed (with rollouts) GnuBG analysis are:
    PR= Error total mEMG(MWC)/2= 6,4/2= 3,20.
    Snowie Error rate= 2,7
    Error based abs.FIBS rating= 1961,4.
    Errors= 11
    Blunders= 3
    Lucky and very lucky moves= 8
    Unlucky and very unlucky moves= 10.
    The way to analyze such cubeless matches is to play the match in cubeless settings in GnuBG, then save the match in Jellyfish Match (*mat) format. Finally, import this *mat file to XG2 and switch to Cubeless when asked about the Cube Limit.

    @Marc Olsen Hello! You can't analyze a Tavla match with the XG match equity table. The reason is simple. For example, at the score 2-4 (1 away - 3 away Crawford) your opponent was gammon go. In backgammon, at this score, the gammon has no value. In that game, he had many situation to force a gammon, like the blunder (-0,109) 3/2 when he moved 16/11 and the best was 16/14 6/3*. In Tavla match, his move pays a lot more equity, because he really want a gammon.

    • @user-kg3ej2qd1v
      @user-kg3ej2qd1v 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you say is right, but XG is also able to analyze cubeless matches. When asked about the cube limit, you choose "Cubeless".

    You can set xg for cubeless so that the pr is more accurate and the checker play analysis is correct because sometimes the best cubeful checker play is different than the best cubeless checker play. One question. How did you record the game and did you then transcribe it into xg?

    • @sjsphotog
      @sjsphotog 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you can transcribe any game manually using XG after the fact. He had to watch the video and keep pausing and entering the dice rolls and moves when he got back to his apartment/home. VERY tedious to do.

  • @Chris-cs7nv
    @Chris-cs7nv 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    That's too fast also... I hope it will be slower in potential future video. xg needs to have setting for no backgammon and allow doubles(66,55 etc) on first roll

    Thats crazy Marc. So glad here in the US we have rules and manners. That speed play and picking up your dice before you can even see it woud be considered RUDE. You really have to be on your game as I can see how easy it is to get scammed/cheated by them making illegal plays or have their friends try to convince you something is amiss. Congrats.
