Nature Sound Books(2023) - live clip #1 "Liberty"

"Liberty" from my film concert "Nature Sound Books” on March 19, 2023.
"Nature Sound Books” is my original film of soundscape.
Through videography, field recording, and my compositions, I explore the sound world of nature and city.
It all started with the pandemic 2019. There was nowhere to go.
I brought out small instruments and synthesizers and played them outside like in parks, lakes and streets.
Unlike in the studio, there were birds singing, wind blowing, people talking, and trains running. And those environmental sounds inspired my performance as well. It was a new feeling I could never experience at home.
Around that time, I also started learning photography and field recording.
The concept of the concert is a fusion of this film and live performance.
While the video footage is made in advance and streamed, I play my pieces live, improvise with various instruments, and even interact with the audience. Like playing outside, it creates contingency. Through this, the film come alive again.
