The issues with trading the knight for the light squared bishop are the time you invested into moving the knight, and the bishop was the same color as white's pawn chain. So when the attack develops, you feel the time spent on the knight vs. the bishop, whereas in the long run, the bishop pair is an advantage. Computer gives bishop takes knight a great move because it takes advantage of these things. Overall, spend a couple more moves involving all your pieces, and you'll find the tactics you want! :)
Hey, you're higher rated than me, but one thing I'm noticing in your games (which i can relate to) is not seeing opponents potential knight moves, leading to forks and losing material. Chess is hard 😭 Here's hoping you can get back to winning ways!
I just try to internalise all the distances where the knight can jump to attack a piece in one move. Then if the knight is ever that distance I look out for them
