    LOL,at any suggestions of push-pull.When there are no hooks,or catch points,on these models.Only twin engine scrapers have them.Thats why the bulldozer is there.

      That's a push blade. That's what it is for. It has springs on it.

    So it was just from time to time or push Cats are often waiting for scrapers like that? Except when they can ripping obviously. Very nice clip, thanks for sharing, let's hope the next video comes out soon.

      push cats are always their or the singles cant get a load

      Yeah the odd time they have to wait for a minute or two, depending on the ground type they would use that spare time for ripping. We had it worked out that each push cat had 4 scrapers to push, depending on how things are going on in the fill depends on how fast they get back for another load. Rotation times vary a bit due to many haul road and fill area factors. For the most part it was all great timing and the push cats had 1 minute wait time every 8 to 10 minutes.

      The singles can't self load, scrapers follow their push cat.

      Yes it is done, it's full of built houses, now I drive by it everyday. Unfortunately it won't make a good video

    Why back blade it? Is that so the scraper guys can see the rocks?

    • @pushysix
      @pushysix  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Normally the pushcats back blade an area that is finished to grade telling the scraper operators its finished. Sometimes the pushcat operator will back blade to make it smoother for themselves to push the next scraper. They never usually back blade for the scrapers benefit cause it only smooths it out for the front tires of the scrapers and they just load out what was just leveled.

    What are the working on? These scenes seem to me like big playgrounds. Moving dirt without any reason! Anyway i like your job Pushysix!

    • @pushysix
      @pushysix  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We are doing a very large subdivision with deep cuts. The scrapers are cutting out sloped housing lots and the 1200 is taking out 6 meters of cut right where the main street will be. On the fill side all of the dirt is being used to build a pond slope and other housing lots.

    Wouldnt it be easier to take those 11s and just push on grade. The job i work has 40 d11s and 2 992 8 777s and the 11s does the work of pushing the pits or hollow fields on grade

    • @tomcander3669
      @tomcander3669 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why move it twice? Then you would have even more labor in grading on the fill. These guys know what they're doing since they move millions of yards each year

      Way quicker less man power this way. The distances these 11 would have to push material would be beyond the effective range. Scrapers for doing subdivision is as quick and efficient as you can get

    The guy on the d11 ain't much good , slow buttoning up, carrying em and stalling the torque in 2nd gear ..... Oh dear god
