Thank u so much for checking out #Interlude:Shadow please please do check out #The Last by Agust D aka Suga, I tell u, u will love it, his rawness & those emotions its just such a great track so please do check out thank u again
Thx for your reaction/review of Interlude: Shadow! I love Interlude: Shadow ~ I can feel Yoongi, Suga and… AND AGUST D vibes in it… I am so thankful I’m living and experiencing Min Yoongi’s genius in his lifetime! He and his works/creations is and has, gotten me through many many challenging moments… My ultimate bias is Min Yoongi, my bias wrecker is Kim Namjoon,.. followed by all their Bangtan brothers!
Shadow is... Yeah, I cried more than once listening to it. If I may, you should listen to his song "The Last" as well: it's also incredibly personal and deep and dark and...it deserves to be known. Thank you for your reactions.
The blue Y mark on Suga's shoulder is the shoulder that was injured in a delivery part-time accident before BTS debut, and the model name of the motorcycle that suffered the accident is also written on it.
Truthfully, Persona, Ego and Shadow go hand in hand. Persona is RM's questioning of himself as Namjoon and RM, Shadow is the personification and confrontation of Suga's largest fears as a growing artist, and Ego is J-hopes embodiment of what has kept him grounded and grateful throughout the years. In a contrasting manner, Hobi and Namjoon find a sense of acceptance with who they have become while Yoongi's shadow is a reality he is forced to come to terms with. He cannot run from it, he knows because he has tried. Hurt as they might, songs where he pours out all he can for us are consistently the best and most heart wrenching. Not to mention how well the production of the song works in conveying his fears. The sense of dread that's subtly built up throughout only to come down as a crashing tidal wave could not have been executed better.
I remember Suga told he didn't want to be famous (idol) initially, he just wanted to write songs so he moved to Seoul. Everything that happened after he joined bighit was a kind of pressure, as it is for all the guys, of course. But speaking specifically about Suga, he didn't dance then, he's an introvert, he doesn't open up in public, he didn't like to be cute, all these things he had to overcome to become an idol. Of course, he wanted recognition and fame. But I'm talking about the price he had to pay to get it. Mentally and physically it was hard. So after everything he's been through, the fears always come. If earlier he was afraid of not achieving anything, now, when he has everything, he afraid of losing yourself (feels the pressure because fame), saying that no matter who you are, the shadow inside you will never leave you alone.
He did dance. He used to be a D-boy but because of his shoulder he couldn’t do it anymore…Besides that loved your thoughts… Also adding on he didn’t have support from his parents for a long time to pursue music. So also imagine having to face all those without your parents.
Suga danced before joining bighit. But as what he said before, he doesnt like dancint but that doesnt mean he's not good qt it. Tbat's why has has this. 'chill' style where he does the choroe but in a mkre relaxed way. His shiulder innury happened when he's already training. He needs a sideline job to make money for his family back home, he hid the injury from bighit so bighit wont cut him off. Because he was also studying that time. The injury got to him years later when he got the shoulder surgery in the last qtr of 2020.
@@amberpearce710 You’re wrong. He definitely did not dance before becoming a trainee. And the shoulder injury was when he was already a trainee at BigHit.
@@priiifrg You are the one who is wrong. Yoongi used to bboy. There are videos of him bboying before his accident. And he never disliked or didn't want to dance.
Suga was overwhelmed with emotions and cried in the bathroom after their first AMAs performance in 2017 as he knew that performance symbolises something more and bigger coming their way.
Im Suga bias because such lyrics, producing… he can go from this to Omi You, to Stay Alive, to First Love, to That That… his music is so different… D-2 is so incredible
The part where the shadow said “ Im you, you are me, you can never break me off” that part gave me goosebumps. I really love the writing in this one. I think for Suga, as an introvert, having fame and being there infront of everyone, in public eyes sometimes it is intimidating.
You’re me and I’m you- those lines are when his voice changes in the song. It is not him talking about the members. It is his shadow talking to him saying I am part of you, we are one body. Accept me as part of you. 💜
suga is the main producer and songwriter of interlude: shadow and he included rm in the writing credits for helping with the english translation of suga's korean lyrics 😊💜
Hi Brian, I am a new subscriber and I have to start with praises of how impressive your intro to the reaction videos was, you put some nice detailed work into it. I really love it. Suga and his work can be pretty dark, yes, and I am here for it. Its not that I take pleasure in pain and hardship of his past, its more "selfish" adoration and astonishment of how he manages to communicate all that heartbreak, void and anguish and hate and doubt and tendencies to self-destruct with such a raw descriptiveness and genuineness but also how he then transforms it into a positive, comforting experience for the listener. He breaks you down but then he builds you back up :-) He is incredible and I can´t get enough of the guy and his songs. His "So far away" makes me cry.... but I am always coming back for more:-) Please, do not apologize for your bias showing, Suga is an extraordinary music composer and artist overall, and deserves all praises. I have not seen your other reactions yet, but I would guess ( and hope) you may like his other works too ( specifically his signature use of electric guitars in almost everything he produced).
I totally get it. I didn't believe in astrological stuff that much until I saw Yoongi and read his lyrics. His birthday is 3/9 and mine is 3/10...29 yrs apart, but I feel as if he's taken the lyrics out of my head. JHope is my wrecker and he comes in to lift me out of my 'Yoongi' daze. I just love them both so much. I love them all, but Yoongi is like looking into the mirror of my soul. JHope is more the personality I shared with the outside when I was younger and I hid my Yoongi side. So, they are like my shadow and my ego. Irony.
I also get chills a lot by them cause its so real and raw I really appreciate them and their craft.....the sacrifice they made to continue this even though they're already famous must be immense
Imagine. Suga was supposed to be signed as the group's producer since, not even a rapper. He grew up as a producer and rapper, selling his songs on the street and joining underground rap competitions. But then he became the actual member and needed to rap and dance. He hated dancing. But it is required in the group's routine, everybody should dance. Though it paid off, he still put a lot of hardwork and he experienced so much pressure. This is even more likely separate from the actual cause of his depression.
He loves rapping though. He is a true rapper. Remember his line from born singer that I am still a rapperman. Don't write needed to be a rapper as people might think that he is like idol rapper. He was a street rapper.
He didn't hate dancing. He used to bboy before even joining BigHit. Not sure where everyone is getting that from. He has joked complained about having to dance, but he was referring to idol/choreography dancing.
I’m totally a hard rock fan and BTS has dragged me head and foot into their music and it started with Suga/Agust D. His lyrics are so incredible and hit you someplace in your head and heart. I’m not sure what one cause I can’t wrap my head around it. I just looked and I’m surprised you haven’t listened/read the lyrics for The Last and/or First love. It will blow you away. The last is on Agust Ds mix tape and the lyrics……wow. First love is on BTS and you have to watch the live video. Honestly one of the first songs that made me literally cry. Welcome to being a Suga bias 😁
Suga is my bias also mostly because he always sings with such emotion. He lays himself bare for us it's hard not to gravitate towards that. I have nothing but respect for someone who is willing to put themselves out there like that, especially in a way that helps others on their journey.
my theory on the very intense part at the end where Yoongi says "can't take me off of you, whatever you do" "we're one body and sometimes we will clash" is that his shadow is directly speaking to him ! during the music video, the video gets darker, more red, his voice is more aggressive and raw, so that made me think of a personification of his shadow, that's taunting him because he'll never be able to get rid of it
I could write an actual essay on the storytelling of the lyricism and musical production. The arrangement of the music is as much a part of the storytelling as the lyrics and as SUGA's delivery. The conversation he has with his shadow, how the shadow talks to him, the level of introspection the lyrics go into, and just how accurate a representation of the Jungian shadow this entire composition of music is makes it a masterwork. That's not hyperbole, I'm not being dramatic for effect, I genuinely believe this is a masterpiece of storytelling.
P.S. My interpretation is that there are multiple elements in his shadow. 1) His greed: for wealth, power, prestige (SUGA has referenced his greed being a monster in Agust D lyricism). 2) His fear: his fear of isolation ("Nobody ever told me it's lonely at the top"); BTS are at the top, but it's a lonely place to be at the top (thank goodness they have each other); his fear of failure, particuarly falling from the top because there is so much pressure riding on you when you're at the top ("My leap can turn into a fall"; I don't see SUGA fearing the fall per se (it's inevitable), but I think he fears how he'll be affected emotionally and mentally post-fall). 3) Over-identification exists in his shadow: ("I wanna be a rapstar, I wanna be a rockstar, I wanna be the top"); what will happen to his identity if he loses any of these statuses (regardless of the reasons)? Over-identification is dangerous. And yes, there are likely darker, less discussed aspects of his depression and anxiety that exist in his shadow. But the genius of the lyricism is that you cannot deny the shadow, ignore it, or break it off, because it is an aspect of who you are. All you can do is uncover what is in the shadow, face it by understanding it and healing it, and integrate back into your whole being (albeit a life-long process). Also, clever metaphor and wordplay is using the light of fame to discuss/talk with his shadow. For SUGA, the light of fame makes outlines the dark of his shadow.
I started to become a fan when I heard 'The Last' . Yoongi's songs always hit hard maybe because he had so much hard time in his teens that you can just feel his songs. Out of all the members, he had the rough past. His songs evoke so much emotions from me, almost as if it is alive. He is so raw and blunt with his lyricism that sometimes I'll just ask, 'Is he okay?'. I love how his passion towards music as well. Other members tease him for working on music everyday but ...it is just so inspiring. You cannot just take away music from him. He is the most passionate and dedicated when it comes to making music. Many artists are drawn to Yoongi for many reasons. Not just his producing skills and passion but also on his writing ... Halsey, in particular said she listened to the rapline's mixtapes but Agust D's The Last blown her away specifically and she insisted to have Suga on her album. She said that she connects to Yoongi the most in terms of lyrical approach. Halsey said she is a huge fan of Agust D (Yoongi's solo music), she even posted on IG when D-2 got released. She is always supportive of Yoongi and his music. They are actually close and Halsey calls Yoongi as her twin. Another song called 'Wine ' was created when Suga reached out to Suran, his friend who felt depressed during that time. Suran said that listening to 'Wine' uplifted her spirits. It ended up becoming a hit song ... Suran's most successful song and the song that started Yoongi's career as a producer for other artists.
One of Suga’s masterpieces. He as a producer blows me away, the mixing engineer in this rated this as the most difficult song he’s ever mastered/mixed as it’s almost two songs the cinematics he used are top top tier. The lyrics are absolutely stunning way to represent the Jungian idea of Shadow and also his own personal journey. Suga also comes up with the ideas for his MVs and contributed heavily to that. They use imagery of the first albums for this so this has artwork form the early days and sound samples too. The artwork also references Basquiet, and an artist who did a wax work installation about the effect we have on the world. Literally layer in layer to analyze. My absolute favorite work of his for the complexity but only barely above Daechwita which it’s nearly tied with to me. Glad you enjoyed it can’t wait for the next video about this! Crazy album huh?
Really like your reactions and lyrical breakdowns! The part where the beat gets all gritty and scary movie sounding, he's not talking to the other members. That's his shadow talking to himself, telling Suga he'll always be a part of him, he can't get away from him, so accept it. Basically saying this is your life now, just accept it. Amazing song and music video
Bts songs are very introspective, Suga in particular..putting such songs out must be cathartic for them and enable them to survive in their crazy world, where all cameras around the world are on them..
One of my definete favourite songs from Suga. I love the ending part, where I feel that his shadow is telling him that they are one and he cannot hide away from his shadow. He just needs to accept the dark or embarrassing parts of himself and realize that those are him too 💜 and what Ive followed Sugas growth during these years, I feel that he really has done that and is more at ease with himself and who he is and is not afraid to be loving or goofy and play around with music, like we saw in that Psy feature that he did 🥰
This is, hands down, my favorite rap song, let alone my favorite SUGA song. It's so raw and vulnerable and beautifully human. This is why SUGA is my bias. FYI, the "trailer" MVs are usually truncated versions of the full-length songs (e.g., this one, "Serendipity," etc.).
“You’re me and me is you”, “I will always be with you”, “we’re one”. I see this as coming to terms with being with the shadow, Suga talking to his own shadow, recognizing we cannot escape our “bad” self. All the doubts, fears, anger, anxiety are negative emotions but they’re part of us too and they will always be there. So the only healthy way is to not run away from the shadow but to live with it. Self-acceptance is an important part of mental health. So I think the song comes in with a full circle (so ingenious!). In the beginning, the self is unaware and only hears the creepy message “greed” or “ambition” is sending to the person, then the person achieves what he thought he wanted but got overwhelmed by the fears of falling/ failing/ losing what he’s got. The very last part is, the person talking back to the shadow, fine I know you’re there but I can live with you now. It’s still dark but it’s a resolution.
At 26:48 just a correction for what you said rm isn't a producer or at least a full producer like suga he's more into lyrics writing and composing meanwhile suga is heavily involved in producing as well as writing but more into production. actually he is the only memeber of bts who's part of hype in house producers thats why you can't call rm a producer when there is a huge difference in both of their producing skills. suga can produce full songs without help and he is already an established producer who produced for top korean artists ( psy, iu, heize...etc) also made a ringtone for samsung not to mention his self produced songs for bts and his own mixtapes! And btw im not trying to be little rm for not being a producer cuz he is already an amazing lyricist/composer and no one can come near his level of poetry and symbolism
An amazing BTS song that lyrics are gonna blow your mind is 134340 (PLUTO) There’s no music video for it but it’s worth checking it out just because of how genius it is. Really, you might not like the song but the lyrics are incredible 💜
Thank you for the lovely reactions my feelings are mutual for this song. Suga goes deep and his songs hits hard in ways you cannot explain & the way he delivers his songs takes the song to another level. He is a mad and beautiful genius.
Yeah... That's what Suga does to us with his amazing songs, if you havent yet, you have to react to Seesaw, it's another great song. I really love your reactions.
This is the first song by Suga that made me cry. There are others too. He's been my bias wrecker for the last 2 years. I connect to him and Jin the most emotionally and they represent my inner self the best. Both positive and negative sides of myself. I believe I'm going to go through a bias shift. I've been hesitant because I love RM so much. He's so inspiring and an amazing leader and wicked rapper. He makes you want to aspire to greatness. He was clearly my bias for a long time. But those 2 boys... Ugh... they tug at my heartstrings. They inspire me to embrace my inner self and help me to "love myself" the most.
I totally get you! Jin is my bias, Yoongi & Joonie are my bias wreckers! Haha! It's alright, I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually change our bias or do away with biases. We all connect with each of the members on different levels and at different times of our lives. That's what's great about loving 7 admirable and incredibly talented men.
@Kauritree08 , i think I'm similarly going thru a bias shift too even if I don't want to admit it. 1st bias was jk, then went through an ot7 phase for a long time, but now slowly getting a double bias for yoonjin, even tho I'm reluctant to say that cuz I want to remain just ot7 with no specific bias.😐😐
I don't usually comment nor do I usually watch reactions that often but I have to leave a comment and tell you how much I enjoy your content. It feels very endearing and very honest to me. I cannot remember the last time I thought so while watching someone's videos. Also all of us have our favorite songs, favorite sounds or members whose music you connect to more than the others ( I'm also a hard rock/metal fan so just like you I have prefer these types of songs). Bangtan do all sorts of genres that it is normal to have a preference. I hope to see more contect from you and hear more of your commentary which is equally interesting. The songs have so much meaning it's fascinating to see how someone else will interpret them. (LY Tear is an album that I've interpred 100% selfishly XD) Also since you seem to like Yoongi a lot I think you might enjoy 'Nevermind' it's one of my all-time favorite bts songs, very deep and very personal to me. And if you're up to something even more deeper and personal to Yoongi himself 'First Love' and 'The Last' are a guaranteed cry but so worth it.
Songs like this is way I admire Suga. He never wanted to be an idol. He wanted to be a writer and producer. Knowing that explains a lot about Suga. I sometimes worry about him due to his mental health issues (they don't go away, only subside - thinking about Robin Williams and Anthony Bourdain)
Great reaction and analysis. Sugas lyrics are just out of this word, the way he connect each song in a way to show how he change his mentality and thoughts it's amazing. 💜
Yes...This is written by suga of course ....He is great writer...I really like his honest and deep lyrics always....he is the best💜️💜️💜️Thank you for the reaction
This is my favourite song from BTS with Black Swan, Map of the Soul 7 is amazing, and loved what you said, it was something between these lines "that part was like the entrance of a monster" and yeah, how accurate, with that change in the song the Shadow started talking, agh, i love it. I'm loving your reactions👏
@@DestructiveMediaYT You're welcome! And, Tool has also been inspired by the Hermann Hesse's book "Demian" for their album "Ænema", right? I find it cool that BTS and Tool has something in common 😃
another masterpiece! thanks for breaking this down, and sharing your thoughts around this. "i am you, you are me; now do you know? we are you, we are me, this do you know." - this is min yoongi accepting suga accepting agust d, and suga accepting agust d accepting min yoongi.
Let’s continue the speechlessness in: 1. First Love by suga 2. So far away by suga ft suran 3. Agust D by Agust D (Suga’s other stage name) 4. Daechwita by Agust D
Thank you for your reaction! I looked at the comments, checked your channel and realized that you really hadn't seen the track "The last" yet, I was sure that you had heard it. As a connoisseur of Suga's music, I highly recommend listening to this song.
This song alwys get me..all his song are deep and emotional for me..his raw emotions touch me everytime..u should listen to the last, first love, dear my friend or so far away..these are my fav..sea,born singer, paradise is so good to..
This song remind me of the feeling of wanting something so bad that you start believing that everything will be fine once you achieved your desired goal but once you achieved you don't feel the happiness and peace that you have expected and it makes you anxious and there's some fear that you feel. This song completely describe this feeling and in the end comforts you ny telling you accept your inner demons.
I was so looking forward to seeing your reaction to this song. The shadow is your doubts and fears and everyone has them. The message of needing to accept that part as a part of the whole you is essential to move on thru the Map of the Soul. He creatively takes dueling sides (ambition and goals) and faces off vs doubts and fears only to find that BOTH is a part of the same being in the end. (Quite forcefully too like how have you not known all this time?) I agree with everything you said, Suga brings his emotions to his rap and conveys the complexity of this topic so well it gives you chills. Can even see it on his face in the MV. He worked hard on this project. He credited RM for translating to English (the respect) which RM said he didn't have to do (mutual respect). I just love everything about this. I cannot wait for you to react to the other songs Doolset referenced. I'm enjoying watching your journey Bryan 💜
Map of The Soul 7 is my 1st comeback, though I've been ARMY for 8 months when Interlude Shadow was released as the 1st MV from the album. I'm SUGA biased so was really excited about the fact that he's the one who started the comeback & gave us the first glimpse into the new album (MOTS 7 the album was released about a month after Shadow MV). When I 1st watched the MV, I remember I smiled & laughed joyously of the sight of SUGA, and immediately fell in love with the song coz it's what I expected to sound like from him (even better), but then my brain started to digest the lyrics here & there..and suddenly--like you said--I felt a knot in my stomach. I knew 'Shadow' theme of Jung would be dark, but hearing him talking openly about it makes everything real & tough to swallow. But am glad he did Shadow, I know it's hard...but it's necessary. Not only for him, but for all of us coz we all struggle with our own shadows and can relate to some extent. Glad you did this reaction. Cheers!
this song is just amazing. and as someone already said, I would really recommend reacting to "the last" and also his whole second mixtape "d-2", to be honest. just masterpieces.
I love this song!!! Sometimes I will play this song around people I usually have to tell people that this song doesn’t make sense unless you know the lyrics, especially the part that is the Shadows point of view. Personally I would never normally listen to that type of sound, I don’t really like it. However that is the point right, make you feel the discomfort? Honestly I always say the best way to understand and get to know Yoongi is through his music. I highly recommend reacting to his first mixtapes all the way through and D-2. This will help get to know him better. Also adding on First Love is an amazing song by him. First Love is the only BTS song that I have actually cried to…. Anyways thanks for reacting!
so glad you finally got to react to this! the three rap line members took each one of the three concepts of jungianism and expressed them in their own way. one thing about suga: he’s very good at putting himself in someone’s shoes. he can write incredibly good lyrics just based on his own imagination. in this song i believe that he also spoke from his shadow’s point of view. the last part and the part where he asks “You’re saying I haven’t taught you that? You’re asking if I really didn’t know? I’ll take away exactly as much as you have, whatever it is” he’s speaking as his shadow to himself, to suga. it’s his deepest, worst parts of himself telling him that this fame and all he accomplished comes at the price and that this isn’t what he wanted. we all have our moments where everything seems dark, but that is not the reality. suga loves music and bts and at the end the good things prevail over the bad ones. i hope soon you will react to agust d’s song “the last”. here’s the best lyrics video th-cam.com/video/DB_AP7DLQ0w/w-d-xo.html keep in mind that he wrote this song in 2016 when things weren’t as good as they are now. and thank you for this reaction💜
Hi! This lyric video has the last end line written wrongly. Its not a straight repeat of the same lines 2 times, its different the second time. I will post here a lyric video that Ive used, its not perfect either, but has the end lines worded better, at least how I feel 💜
@@tinaaikaa77 ohh i haven’t seen this one! i agree, this one is really good as well. might be even better to use when reacting! such a shame it has so little views.. thank you for sharing!
Suga is a masterpiece. I understand why you love his and RM's writing so much. All of the members have solo songs just like this detailing their shadows. They aren't part of the Map of the Soul albums though.
Loving your journey through MOTS:7. It's my favourite album and I listen to the songs frequently but I feel like I am rediscovering it all over again with you right now!!
Wow, I loved your analysis of this! Yes, this song definitely hits hard. I’m glad you got to hear the full version as well, many sadly miss out on it by only watching the mv. I hope Suga gets a chance to perform it to a live audience someday. (When you said “no one feels bad for the people at the top” it strongly reminded me of a song called neon gravestones by twenty one pilots, I don’t know if you know them? It’s about celebrity suicide and generally mental health struggles of celebrities, there’s a lyric “I’ll mourn for a kid but won’t cry for a king”. It’s great how people can really raise awareness of these subjects not often talked about, I’m so grateful to all these artists for being so vulnerable.)
I never understood it as him talking to the members. As far as I know the song is introspective. He is talking to his own shadow and his shadow is talking back. Taunting him by saying, 'I'm literally a part of you so if you like it or not, you'll have to accept me, even if you'd rather get rid of me' This song talks exactly about that self acceptance we were talking about tge whole time.
Loved your reaction, this is one of my favorite songs💜 I would recommend First Love from Suga. It made me feel soo much , from just listening to the actual music and the way he sings/his voice (without the lyrics). I almost cried with the lyrics 😌
*Suga is the only artist whom I truly respect in kpop. The thing is, he is a music prodigy. Some people are good at writing, some at producing, etc. But this man is good at all, his music is like a peefect package from production, to writing, to rap. Nobody is doing like him in the whole industry. As psy said about suga that his flexibility is insance, its music is trendy yet so raw. Next react to the last by agustd. You have just started discovering suga, there is more. He is a complex human being. He is also referred as old soul in the fandom, he is wise beyond his age.*
I stream this in Spotify daily, several times in fact. I think it doesn't get enough love. My playlist consists of Yoongi's mixtapes and it's a bit weird but it helps me feel calm. 😂 As my work is from 8pm to 5am, it's very hard to get sleep during the day, but listening to his songs always helps me fall asleep. He really is my free therapy and I'm thankful I found him and BTS during a very depressing moment in my life. I'm also not sure if he has performed it at a full on live concert but I have a MOTS ON:E DVD which is a copy of their online concert in 2020 and he performed it for his solo stage. Thanks for your genuine reaction. I think you are not only Yoongi biased but rapline biased 😂 regardless, BTS = 💜
Thank you for doing these BTS reaction. You should preorder their new album PROOF. It's an anthology of many of their songs. Interlude Shadow is on there as well.
*This song has too many psychology related themes. In order to fully comprehend it you must react to BTS suga: shadow explained by bookish theories. Funfact, suga also likes to study psychology. He has suffered from depression and anxiety. Now he is trying to understand emotions. He once said something along the line that anxiety seems to be with him throughtout is life, lets try to comprehend these emotions together.*
Pra mim você é o melhor em reacts. Você presta atenção em tudo e não faz isso só por views. Quanto mais você se aprofundar, mais vai se supreender com o talento dos meninos.
Compared to RM, Suga's lyrics arw more raw, emotional and painful. He puts his soul and pain into his stuff. Rm's lyrics are more poetic even if it means pain and sorrow or hate, he has a great way to play with words. Suga's wordings are more direct and straight to the point. You take it as what it is. I feel like this is the mere reason why RM's lyrics are more used for their songs and he is credited more. But all of the other 6 knows the most passionate in music is definitely Suga since they know that he let his emotions out through making music. And RM knows suga writes more songs than him. But suga's songs are more deep and raw. It's just perfect that suga has an agustd alter ego and can produce his own mixtape. I am just happy that at leasr suga has an outlet where he can be true to himself.
As jhope said suga's lyrics are truthful. Anyway, RM's credit is more because he writes for vocal line solos but for groups suga and RM have almost same. Therefore don't worry bts discography had suga all over it. The intense suga lyrics are more in initial bts's initial songs which by far are some of the treasures. Don't forget prod suga. So next time say that Rm had more because he writes for vocal line as people will think that suga had very less contribution same for jhope.
@@keepyourlowiqbrainawayfrom5217 yea, it never really mattered i just observed that while checking the albums i have at home. I love the difference between their styles, their unique individuality is evident and amazing. 🥰
You're right. Yoongi writes intense songs (and for standards of the company..might be too intense for the group) which is why Yoongi 's lyrics often gets censored and he does write more than Namjoon but his songs get rejected by the company as it is not 'BTS color'. But we are lucky as Yoongi not only has his own career as a soloist but he also produce and write songs for other artists.
@@alycruz9627 read my comment, yes his songs are rejected but his philosophical colour is all over bts albums in form of his verses. He also contributes more in some songs like spring day.So we don't actually know how much he contributes, he could have contributed like 80% , anyway i can smell yoongi's lyrics like in paradise, pluto, etc. He still has over 140 songs. I don't want people to say he has no contribution in bts discograohy when his songs are my fav, lets say his intense songs are rejected, this won't confuse.

Shadow is... Yeah, I cried more than once listening to it. If I may, you should listen to his song "The Last" as well: it's also incredibly personal and deep and dark and...it deserves to be known. Thank you for your reactions.
Thank you for watching!
Oh yesss #The Last is such a great track
first love too.... that song just never fails to make me choked on my own tears... 😢
@@jeanny4204 indeed 😭😭😭
Please do react to The Last, first Love, People ,so far away
Great comment!
Great comment 💜
RM helped to translate SUGA's lyrics into English and SUGA as humble person of course credited him among songwriters for it
I remember Suga told he didn't want to be famous (idol) initially, he just wanted to write songs so he moved to Seoul.
Well said, thank you for watching!
He did dance. He used to be a D-boy but because of his shoulder he couldn’t do it anymore…Besides that loved your thoughts…
Also adding on he didn’t have support from his parents for a long time to pursue music.
My bias Suga!❤
He breaks you down but then he builds you back up :-)
He is incredible and I can´t get enough of the guy and his songs.
His "So far away" makes me cry.... but I am always coming back for more:-)
Please, do not apologize for your bias showing, Suga is an extraordinary music composer and artist overall, and deserves all praises.
I have not seen your other reactions yet, but I would guess ( and hope) you may like his other works too ( specifically his signature use of electric guitars in almost everything he produced).
Thank you for subscribing and for watching! I hope you enjoy my other videos, especially my Agust D Reactions.
Love this song! Suga is too cool.

There’s a reason Suga is my favorite rapper!
the ending, the aggressive rap seems like his shadow speaking to him, "I am you, you are me, you can't escape me"
It’s my favorite solo by Suga. It is so profound. Devastatingly good.
This song gives me chills every time. He is always so honest. I truly admire him.

Bts songs are very introspective, Suga in particular..putting such songs out must be cathartic for them and enable them to survive in their crazy world, where all cameras around the world are on them..
Shadow is THE most underrated sugas song .. he's my ultimate bias because he fought all his vulnerabilities and he inspires me!! 💜
One of my definete favourite songs from Suga. I love the ending part, where I feel that his shadow is telling him that they are one and he cannot hide away from his shadow. He just needs to accept the dark or embarrassing parts of himself and realize that those are him too 💜 and what Ive followed Sugas growth during these years, I feel that he really has done that and is more at ease with himself and who he is and is not afraid to be loving or goofy and play around with music, like we saw in that Psy feature that he did 🥰
Thank you for watching and getting the links to these videos!
Thank you so much again for your honest thoughts. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you for watching!
An amazing BTS song that lyrics are gonna blow your mind is 134340 (PLUTO)
There’s no music video for it but it’s worth checking it out just because of how genius it is.

So attractive and Passionate voice colors
Thank you for this song reaction
Cool, coz Suga and Jin are soulmates) I also like both of them and all guys too of course
@@LA-BTSARMY absolutely agree! By the way Jin is my bias to, high five 🥰🤝
@@Areyoudelulu "Jinhit"! I love it! 😄💜🤝🏼
Thank you for deciding you comment that wonderful comment, also thank you for watching!
RM 의 믹스테잎 mono 꼭 들어보세요.

This is my favourite song from BTS with Black Swan, Map of the Soul 7 is amazing, and loved what you said, it was something between these lines "that part was like the entrance of a monster" and yeah, how accurate, with that change in the song the Shadow started talking, agh, i love it.

I can't wait for you to react to Suga's First Love or The Last, both are just so raw coming out from him.
Its my second favourite song from Yoongi. First is Nevermind and third The Last. See patern? He helped me a lot. I love him and his music. 💜💜💜
The video really shows the story as he comes to terms with the fact that he and his shadow are one. He is brilliant!
One of my favs!
I really liked your interpretation Shadow is 💜
so glad you finally got to react to this! the three rap line members took each one of the three concepts of jungianism and expressed them in their own way. one thing about suga: he’s very good at putting himself in someone’s shoes. he can write incredibly good lyrics just based on his own imagination. in this song i believe that he also spoke from his shadow’s point of view. the last part and the part where he asks “You’re saying I haven’t taught you that? You’re asking if I really didn’t know? I’ll take away exactly as much as you have, whatever it is”
he’s speaking as his shadow to himself, to suga. it’s his deepest, worst parts of himself telling him that this fame and all he accomplished comes at the price and that this isn’t what he wanted. we all have our moments where everything seems dark, but that is not the reality. suga loves music and bts and at the end the good things prevail over the bad ones.
i hope soon you will react to agust d’s song “the last”. here’s the best lyrics video th-cam.com/video/DB_AP7DLQ0w/w-d-xo.html

NOT CRYING AT ALL……….,,
I never understood it as him talking to the members. As far as I know the song is introspective. He is talking to his own shadow and his shadow is talking back. Taunting him by saying, 'I'm literally a part of you so if you like it or not, you'll have to accept me, even if you'd rather get rid of me'
This song talks exactly about that self acceptance we were talking about tge whole time.
Loved your reaction, this is one of my favorite songs💜
I would recommend First Love from Suga.

Suga = Genius... and people think these guys write bubble gum pop... yeah ok lol 💜
your reaction always gives me more respect for you ..
Thank you!
Thank you for doing these BTS reaction. You should preorder their new album PROOF. It's an anthology of many of their songs. Interlude Shadow is on there as well.
I vibed to it at first till I read the lyrics, I really cried then. Now I have tears in my eyes when I listen to it
*This song has too many psychology related themes.
💜💜💜 I purple you💜💜💜
Pra mim você é o melhor em reacts. Você presta atenção em tudo e não faz isso só por views. Quanto mais você se aprofundar, mais vai se supreender com o talento dos meninos.
Thank you for the kind words!
Another great reaction. It's obvious that Yoongi just speaks to you on a deeper level💜
I love to hear your thoughts, always great insights!
@@alycruz9627 yes on point, bet most of his written songs dont fit 'bts color' love thay you put it that way & I really love Eight with Iu ❤️
Great reaction as always 💜 thank you
