  • The HOTO 12v Brushless Drill is an experience in itself. This unboxing is special and deserves the attention and reverence that HOTO put into their tool. As a tool company that employs artistic designers, or perhaps a modern design firm that happens to make over-the-top tools, HOTO has carved out a unique and respected space in both the tool and product design communities.

      I can only imagine using it to
      Drill using spade, Forster, auger, or hole saw blades.
      Drill into brick, masonry, or concrete
      Stirring or mixing mortar, paint, plaster, or drywall
      Using it to drive lag bolts or deck screws.
      Build a deck or house with it.
      My m12 drill could do better, even better would be my 18v xph03 makita hammer drill

      Lmao yeah I think these are definitely cool for inside of the home and some diy projects as the name suggests but I don't think they're designed for the type of hard use application for which you'd grab something like your Makita or w/e preferred brand. I do think it's a cool product line but also it's a very specific use case imo which may or may not be justifiable on price depending on one's financial situation.

    8:06 Not just 5V, USB C devices are powered at various voltages, up to 20V, the is a big feature of USB C, with a USB C PD supply (power delivery) devices actually communicate with the power source as to the voltage and current they need. This is such a useful way of powering so many different devices with one source. I like your videos, especially the shorter ones.

    What a curious little drill. I went with the installer drill driver from Milwaukee but if I had seen this I might have given it a shot. Might being the stipulation. I love the Milwaukee when I don’t need my big ol Makita in my bag. Maybe one day I’ll give it a shot. For now there are other tools, but it’s on the list.

    This hoto screwdriver is cool, but I started enjoying it more after I 3d printed a handle grip for mine. With elastic TPE filament, and couple recesses for fingers, it's perfect even for a very precise work.

    No doubt it is nice modern design and good torque (30Nm for a screwdriver is a lot) BUT it is tooo big unfortunately.
    Am hoping to find one cordless screwdriver that is SMALL* and has 10-15Nm (more would be at this time unavoidably bigger!)
    Till now most of them have 4-6Nm max
    * for a heavy torque need I have a good brand impact-driver ~ 200Nm
