I have two grands graduating this year and I’m making graduation quilts for both using their tshirts from pre-K through HS. I absolutely love this idea much more than any of the others I’ve seen.
Yes. You do have his technique one shirt at a time. So, you can border each shirt as needed to fit the space you are trying to fill. It won’t look like a traditional sashed quilt, but o frequently add borders to my shirt panels to get them to a size that I need for that space I am trying to fill on the row. ~Deborah
Awesome ideas and demo! Your voice is so soothing and calming for giving instructions! Thanks!
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed it 😁 ~Deborah
When you said your technique was similar to a log cabin...it clicked ! Thankyou.
That is awesome! I am so glad it helped!!

An interesting way to do the collage process. I think I will try this for my next one. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Very good explanation. The quilt looks great. Do you quilt with an over-all pattern? Thanks!
Yes we did. These quilts lend themselves well to overall edge to edge quilting designs. Great question.
Does this technique work if you are using strips in middle of the shirts. ???
Borders around the block is what i mean

What interfacing do you use?
Hi Linda, I use SF 101 (or a generic version of it) most of the time. It is a light/medium weight fusible interfacing.
That’s great.
Thanks!
