After seeing Eva in dark shadows as the evil witch I didn’t think I would like her as the nurturing care giver in this movie but she nailed it and I couldn’t imagine anyone else in her role. She’s such a great actress.
Eva and Asa look like a mother and son because they both have grey eyes and same british accent.

IWannabeJew My opinion is, precisely, based on those great roles, including Womb (2010) Cracks (2009), Franklyn (2008), not to enumerate further. Eva Green is not playing character. She is a character. Such a great actress should continue to play the roles that rival her talent in the future, too.
I see her in the role of Joan of Arc, for example, based on an episode from Penny Dreadful.
I honestly can not rethink of something that Eva Green can not be great to act out.
We will see what will be the movie "Euphoria", in 2017 about..

@@Leila_1910 Jeanne d'Arc est lumineuse et totalement soumise à Dieu. Eva Green est bien trop sombre, obscure presque démoniaque pour incarner la Pucelle d'Orléans. Elle est surtout trop vieille pour incarner une jeune fille vierge.

She had to learn English with an English accent for the Bond film and it stuck with her. She used to have a French accent when speaking English.

So I watched the movie and that me sad, so I ended up reading the books they were the first series to make me come close to crying they are just to sad. I am yet to read the 3rd one so plz don't say any spoilers

I love Eva so much. Tim Burton is so over rated most of his work has been shite IMO. Would love to see Guillermo del torro cast her in a lead role.
