Syntac theres a server setting called override structures or something like that, it allows you to place and use turrets/plant species X and they will work, but on official you cannot put turrets on platform saddles

Hey, there’s a setting that prevents turrets from working on platforms, go into advanced settings and turn it off, it also does it for spikes to. Cause in the OG ark trailer you shoot off the back of a quetz at parkas with that turret. Also love you syntac your videos have inspired me to start building in ark and now I have my own (not that great but I’m proud of myself) cliff side snow lodge in the Arctic. So keep up the great fracking work!
Devs dropped the ball with this creature. Should have had gravity or a small bio-dome that worked like the underwater structures do. Should have been able to grow the plants that you eat with the creature on it, allowing for unique biome plant-life for all kinds of maps. And not being able to fully build, it's like Ark Devs think this game is all PvP still, it's not, most of the PvP is bland and boring these days. We need new tiers of structures to build like Concrete, Metal/Stone mix, Brick, Mud (Not adobe), Thatch needs a full upgrade (Mods have started years ago).

Am I the only one who always anticipates that beat drop in the music at the end every video but it never comes? I know it’s gonna come but it just feels like the beat is about to drop lol
Helpful trick I use on those ocean pillars go into orbital camera and look at your character from the bottom so that the ground is gone and all you see is the plants. Really helps if you are trying to passively tame something and keep losing it xD
The first part of the vid the loot crate was the funniest

The cannons on the front of Blastoise now make me really wish Wildcard added more turrets like an advanced cannon, more like a howitzer or something, and some sort of flak guns to kill fliers. There's a lot of opportunities for more of those manned (or unmanned) turrets, actually.

There is a scaler in advanced settings called “increase platform structure limit” and it might allow you to build more than 3 walls. I hope this helped!
Sadly it doesn't effect it :( not sure why
There is another setting, not the structure(amount) limit but one that allows building multiple floors on platforms

Try building a foundation on its back, the foundation having a tree like shape, then have the top open, then drop another megachelon inside
enable turrets on platforms in the world setting before launch, also increase the ammount of structures you can place on saddles to build higher
since this creature can breathe on land, maybe vacuum compartments will work on it. tried them on a plesio and it randomly died, probably because it was counted as not under water.

Note: Mesopithicus can open any door from the "inside"... might want to make sure your doors face the right way or a player with a shoulder monkey can open it up and rob you blind on any multiplayer mode (including pve)
i know of 4 cave bases in ark genesis most of them are in the lunar biome but whatever, the cords are

Its good to see they seem to be buffing the loot crates, whenever I got ascendent stuff is was like 250 armour
Use triangle cielings for under the manned turrets? Minimize the footprint, and keep them from looking like they are hanging over the edge. And see if you can place something over the part of the turrets that poke inside. Will be fine!

Mobile taming pen. Can you build below them? Then you can build a base and pen below them. They can never leave the water tho. But it may be a good use for them. Love the vids! Keep up the great work!

I started genesis in the snow biome and I tried to build a house that actually looks good and i tried to center it so that it was in the exact middle of a little of a deforested area and i did not make sure and started praying 4 the exact middle. Yes he does have ocd
I was a little disappointed in the turtle, when wild card said the turtle would have bubbles on it's back I thought it would be a literal giant air bubble. I also thought there would be grass and stuff on it's back instead of stuff in its inventory.
The grass on its shell grows over time (when its above water) based on the number or rare flowers and rare mushrooms in its inventory.

A ballista turret might work because guns dont work underwater but crossbows do and a ballista is basically just a giant crossbow

Liked this vid thank you for being you and uploading so often idk what I would do if u didn’t make vids quarantine would be so much worse but about the turtle benches it kinds makes sense since a shell shouldn’t be exactly symmetrical I think either the ark devs did it on purpose or just was lazy

What u guys think of this: leaves harvested from trees, also made to make ghilli armor, human skin that works as hide,and shrooms giant mushrooms with wood as hands like a big fat club and has babies that can grab you underneath the ground and suffocated you

When Syntac goes into K mode on the back of his turtle and looks straight down onto the turtles back the bit of the shell the is showing looks like a dancing Skeleton

They changed the loot table for the loot crates.
And its wayy better now.

The dodo’s Channel you still can’t grind it but I’m pretty they also made so you get better loot in missions now I got 2 tek helmets with almost 500 armour on them in gamma bog beat down
Syntac you are able to use turret's on platforms and underwater, and I know that because I went on god mode spawned a Mosa, but turret's on the PLATFORM SADDLE and shot MEGALADON'S UNDER WATER.
Using underwater tech structures will keep the water out of tree be base. Using triangle foundations will give the structure a more natural aestheti. The ballistas should work under water.
You can use S+ vacuum compartments to make the entire turtle waterproof. If you open all sides of the compartment it becomes invisible and you just have a little bubble. The only issue is the expense and the fact that you would need a tek generator, and if you hit E while facing a compartment, it floods the base and seals the vacuum compartment

I made a turret circle and have a s+ hatchery on the shell to collect frog and eel eggs, or anything water restricted eggs, and had a nanny and s+ bee honey on it...
You can lower foundations to max low level by using a fence foundation and a pillar just like you would on the raft.
Then you can make three levels with a ceiling.
Figured this out today.
I also noticed that when trying to put the turret down, you added the ceilings and should have added a foundation under the ceiling, and then you could have put the turret where you wanted to.

Did you get to discover if using a vanilla fence foundation and snapping a ceiling to it at that lower level than a foundation, gives you more height to build or at least 1 more floor or just bigger walls?
Your S+ trick at 8:12 might actually be better and faster xD
Hey syntac i would suggest a bunch of turrets on the war turtle not only would it be a war turtle for raids and stuff it could also help with the hunting missions
Lets all be honest, the benches are the most important part of a war turtle
I’ve used this on pvp to soak and it’s basically a land turret raft so you can kill their Dino’s and soak at the same time
the weapon jammed underwater 😂
