Eve Arden was at another peak in her long and illustrious career, in August, 1967! Beginning another series, “The Mother’s In-law,” winning the Chicago Sarah Siddon’s Award in Chicago, that fall, for “Hello Dolly,” in Chicago, the “Our Miss Brooks” 1953 Emmy Award winner, as Best Female Star of Regular Series, is as well, a great “Password” Game Show player! 🙂
@@alanhumphrey4198 ......Probably before all our time these days (lol), but when you watch old movies or watch these people when they appeared on talk shows ( Cavet, Griffin, etc) your bound to pick up something😉
Ray Bolger was a huge star in vaudeville before movies. He was one of America's top dancers. He's grew up in my hometown of Dorchester, Massachusetts (a neighborhood of Boston). Bolger had a very strong Boston accent.
These two. I would have loved to play Password with Eve or Ray. They were so smart and likable.
Eve💕Arden was so elegant, sophisticated, Beautiful, classy, funny, lovely.................
When there were ACTUAL TALENTS and ACTUAL STARS! Great show--thanks for uploading this!
I have to say that Bolger's "Projector" and then "Receiver" were GREAT clues for "Screen."
Love the bird's nest hairdo lady!
I'm surprised she could fit into a car.
It was a little too tall...
Looks like cotton candy! (Which reminds me, I haven't had any of that in a while----need to find some.)

I LOVED when Ray Bolger sang "Lydia, the Tatooed Lady"! I loved Groucho, and all of his songs.
Those were before my time and I'm 65...

What great memories.
I wonder who would qualify for a "Decency in Entertainment Award" today!
God, I miss the days when hair was higher and tattoos were far rarer!!
fashion and hairstyles were getting a bit wacky...I loved fashion just a couple of years prior!
"Wigwam" is a word I haven't used in thirty years...
I've only heard it in one of Sweet's songs.
several episodes ago people said that Alans mike is now chordless, looks to me like his mike still has a chord.

Don't know much about Ray Bolger, other than the scarecrow in the Wizard of oz, I'm going to have to research his career.
Ray would appear several more times with Judy Garland in The Harvey Girls (1946) & on her tv show in 1963. He also made several movies with Doris Day.
Made a single. In love with Amy in 1949
Great song check it out.
LOLOL. They just sung it. I made my comment before

@michaelwalsh2498 nice to hear from a Massachusetts native, I'm a lifelong native of Worcester myself 🤝🤜🤛
Captain~ "Skipppeeeer" (Gilligan)
In her Autobio, Eve said she lost 2 years on the couch for not being as beautiful as her mom: imagine.
On the couch? What does that mean?
@@lawsonj39 it means she was in therapy
How do you respond "shark" immediately when someone says "fish"...
It was the look on Eve’s face that “ hooked “ it !! 🦈
One of the episodes of"Password"..The host/moderator:Al Ludden...told Ray Bolger.."Please..Ray..No Hand Gestures".
For Wigwam, I think maybe as the clues were stretching on, how about, "Toupee…?"
All about eve
Funny, at that time if Star Trek had started playing yet, it probably wasn't popular enough to use the (now obvious) clue, "Kirk" 🙂
Wait what!? She got that from “bird?”
If Bolger had finished that bagpipe sound with the word "music" it might have worked (and he would have gotten away with it a little easier :-)
Eve Arden had 4 children, 3 of whom were adopted...
since when is 'Motion Picture" a one word clue? ? ?
If I hear "Five seconds" one more time…🙄
Sandra........😂😂😂😂😉
For tattoo they should have said skin !! 🌹
Or parlor
experiments would have been good for laboratories. Perhaps microscopes as well.
they really bombed up the crap shoot on tattoo didn't they? Body + art. (or design)
*When the word was "Credit, why didn't anyone use the clue "Card"?*
4:06 put your speed 0.25x you can hear ray bolger say a bad word
He said "shuttlecock". It means birdie in badminton. Not a bad word. Odd, but not bad
screen~ Window + bugs
Ray singing the AMY song was just….awkward. 🙄😳
