I believe there was a TV series called The Necronomicon, but those were loosely based on Lovecraft's works. There are also a few manga adaptations of Lovecraft's novels.
Dagon from 2001. Despite its name it’s actually closer to a live action adaptation of the shadow over Innsmouth only they moved its location from New England to Spain for some reason.
Saw Dagon when I was a little one but just wish they wouldn't have kinda blew the ending. Should have just stuck closer to Shadow Over Innsmouth, but did a good job on how creepy that town would have been. The new Nic Cage Color Out of Space was not bad at all but would have loved it if they'd have stuck closer to the time period.
Underwater and the void are good movies I’ve seen recently about lovecraftian entities. There’s another one on shudder that takes place in a rest stop bathroom that was really good as well but I can’t remember the name. The other two are on tubi.
So The Deep Ones follow different Lovecraftian Old ones?! I thought they served Dagon and Cathulu had Human/Octopi followers. Fantastic video! I enjoyed every passing second and the art was superb; it really helps bring the Mythos to life.
0:00 Wow! Those creature are living underwater world. 0:21 What the!? Now they are attacking humans!? 0:53 Creature ride on boat with humans at storm. 1:19 🤔🙏 Do they worshiped them at Statue? 1:55 Woo! They build a city! No wonder they build underwater city! 2:51 Now they on fighting at war! 5:36 Cool they are quite very impressive. 6:50 Wow they begin to invasion to attack all humanity. 👏 Cool. Now that was totally awesome story of The Terrifying Submarine Monsters Deep Ones Cthulhu Myths.
Pop culture Factoid : In dungeons and dragons classic RPG 1980’s lore these are also known as the koa-toa an aquatic creature race noted in underground and underwater dungeons battle wise ?!? Also if you’ve ever watched Adult swim network, in one setting one character was actually an cosmic old one who slayed Koa-Toa and other aquatic beings of an similar type one in the past , ( disguised as an young priestess in ancient times and an kid in it’s most recent incarnation) and actually hid amongst mortals several times in the guise of an innocent kid, but was clever enough to fool several generations of humans into thinking that they were one of the local residents, I’m not sure I need to specify this further for anyone who had watched that 4 part anime series?!?!
We're sure the Gill-man is unrelated to them?(although I guess that would be saying that fresh water animals and salt water animals are the same species)
Yo this is a Harry Potter video dude. No one worships Cthulhu. Shouldn’t you spreading Jesus on religious video? Why don’t you read the part of the Bible that has Egyptian mythology in it... you know... the parts about Moses. Or the other parts where it talks about other gods and how God dealt with other gods... other gods such as “Weh, the storm god”... you know half of YaH”weh” What is the 1st commandment again? ... o yeah, God is YaH and I shall put no other god before him.
These videos are very interesting and informative definitely helps me to better understand the lovecraftian novels i have read.
Okay, this Cthulhu video is much better than the early one.
the Cthulhu Mythos is very fascinating thank you for covering it.
I wonder if these creatures were inspiration for the Trench from the DCEU Aquaman films.
Yeah definitely
Or marvel
Probably a safe bet
Maybe also for the creature from The Black Lagoon.
I absolutely love that SUIH is covering Lovecraftian lore!
Has there been any live action movies that really capture Lovecrafts work well?

There is a movie with Nic Cage... "Colour out of space"

The 2001 movie Dagon (directed by Stuart Gordon) is a loose adaptation of The Shadow over Innsmouth.

Jesus Christ is The Son of God. His Father is God and Lord of all creations.
There's only the God Emperor of mankind. Anything else is heresy to the golden throne.
