    Just wanna say I'm enjoying these videos. I'm looking at starting up my own campaign and enjoyed seeing how it all plays outs before I start my own. Would love to see an updated version!

      We are enjoying the campaign and these new condition cards have a noticeable impact on the game. Glad you are enjoying the video, Pete.

    Why fly the Gladiator into the side arc of the MC80? Better to fly into the front arc (half as many dice), sit there, and pummel the big ship!
    Tactical issues aside, I love your videos!

    Nice graphics between rounds! Is it homemade? What do you use to make it?

      Thank you Andrea! All of the damage report work took a while to get right, but yes they are homemade. I used a couple different tools to get everything set up. I'm not 100% happy with it, but it works for the moment.

      @@IONRadio I've got a question: in you batreps I've seen Squadrons (often Imperials) deployed beyond distance 3 of the player's edge. Is it a special ability, maybe from the custom commanders of the campaign?

    • @IONRadio
      @IONRadio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ikarian8318 during deployment, squadrons must be placed within distance 1-2 of a friendly ship and may be placed outside of deployment zones (RRG pg 10 under Setup).
      There is one Commander ability (RitR) that allows you to deploy within distance 3.

      @@IONRadio Thank you very much for these clarifications (for the other post about Obstruction too)! I guess my lesson is: "never stop learning!".
      Another question for you: is it possible to use standard Commanders in RitR? Custom Commanders are so much fun but maybe, in a pivotal battle, could some major admiral show up?

    • @IONRadio
      @IONRadio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ikarian8318 Glad we could help, please feel free to ask questions and we'll help out where we can.
      Standard Commanders: Although the campaign is built to work with custom commanders, perhaps start fleets out at 250 points and build up to 300? Then you can simply ignore the commander XP rules.
      Another way to maybe play this out is if you save up Commander XP points, you can trade some amount of these in for a commander for the pivotal battle?
      Both are 100% house rules and there is nothing in the book about using them. The only thing you can find is the specifics on pg 8 regarding Task Forces and Fleet Building - "Players must choose a flagship. Players may equip up to one commander upgrade to their flagship, but are not required to choose a commander card for their fleet."

    Which fleets are you enjoying the most at the 200 point format?

    • @IONRadio
      @IONRadio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really like all of my fleets right now. Before the campaign I had mainly been playing Imperial for about a year so being able to play as the rebels has been fun. I really enjoy fighter play so my favorite list is my double Pelta. In a store campaign I play as the Empire and have a single ship ISD-ii and fighters list that is also fun to play as.

      Currently enjoying the Quasar / Raider fleet. It needed to be brought in before Round 2, however I can see that being an effective fleet in future campaigns.
