I’m not gonna lie, this is one of 2 books (out of many, jail is boring) I read 7 years ago during a 6 month stint in jail that profoundly changed my perspective on myself and the world around me. The other was Beautiful Boy (the movie doesn’t come close, book is just heartbreaking perfection). This guy is a very gifted writer, bought the book a few years ago. Been clean & sober 5 years now ❤
I listened to Cutting For Stone on audible. It is one of my favorite books of all time and the narrator was perfection. Thank you for such a beautiful story. And thank you for the explanation for the title.

But we are glad that we did not slip into the social gospel, because of strong foundation - our strength as missionary doctors are in Jesus. We have been serving volunteering medicine for 16 years, 15 weeks in the zone of war with Russia. We are begun training for our doctors. Do not count as insolence, but in the background of your video, 2 books of Harrison and 2 books of MKSAP14. We are not able to buy and mail them.
