San Diego Fishing 2024

We took out the boat to the La Jolla kelp beds for another test-run before heading out for some offshore fishing. This time Kallen decided to join Don and myself.
We launched out of the Dana Landing boat launch ramp in Mission Bay. We picked up some live bait (sardines) and headed out. It looked nice and calm as we headed out the bay into the open waters. Don took the helm and got us to the fishing grounds.
We got there and saw many boat out there. I'd probably guess that there were about 30 boats, not including ours. We decided to slow troll around with the artificial lures. We did this for maybe a couple of hours with no bites. I think we were maybe 5 miles off the coast.
