I’m like Louis. I don’t like rap, I’m pretty indifferent to it. But once I started listening to BTS (specifically the rap line), they gave me a new appreciation of rap. I’m still not into it like that and rap line are the only rappers I love and listen to religiously, but they have definitely open my eyes to the rap genre.

well I will try to explain in the "best" way possible what "UGH!"
UGH is a song dedicated to haters, something like a Cypher Pt 5 formerly the BTS rap line (J-Hope, Suga and RM) had released Four songs dedicated to haters called Cypher's which were answers to all those haters.
Fact: A cypher It is a spontaneous collaboration from different Freestylers or rappers to improvise in public , They differ from rooster battles for being only freestyle without fighting with someone.
Cypher Pt 1 - It was written , composed and produd by RM, Suga and J-Hope along with Supreme boi (Written and composed) Supreme boi (Produd) .
Supreme boi is one of the producers of the bighit even participated in some songs of the boys example: J-Hope Hangsang or Cypher Pt 2/3 this giving his voice or writing .
In short the song it's like a presentation to the haters present themselves before them through their rap's and skills they know they are going to start a war that they won't lose.
The only times Army has heard the song in any concert has only been part of J-Hope.
Cypher Pt 2 : Triptych - written, composed and produced by RM Suga and J-Hope (Written and composed) together with Supreme boi (writing, composing and producing) .
In this Cypher the boys (RM Suga and J-Hope) demonstrate their great rap skills since the the Fluid and followed J-Hope rap, going through the strong and in turn powerful RM rap to then end with the Fast and Fluid of Suga showing the haters that they are ready to Lead the nation of 21st century.

Ddaeng would be a cypher but apart from this song the rap line tells haters about the real enemies, it's not them but haters who hate haters are their true enemies and not them.
not tryna be rude but ugh it's not directed to their haters, the message is more deep than that, it condemns futile and malicious anger which we all are victims of. in this song they say being angry is okay as long as it's used to change something into good. so it's a song that universally condemns people that use anger in a malicious and stupid way to feel better than others, and this fits to not only their haters :)

isnt kpop just an industry though? kpop is more like a label rather than a literal genre. not to seem rude, but there are also other groups who have varied songs. which means youre basically saying that majority of the artists in the kpop industry isnt kpop.

Don't worry Louie, I never liked rap either before BTS, but now I LOVE rap line and their songs. You should react to Outro: Tear as it is quite the emotional rap song. Just so you know, they usually don't make mv's out of their rap songs but you can find a lot of live performances that are amazing.

It is my favourite of the new álbum. Rap line is amazing together, they are the members that wrote almost all songs for BTS with BIT HIT. I recommend you hear lyrics of DDAENG and video korean explanation because this word has a lot of meaning in korean. And all the Cyphers live at Medley . Please pay attention to lyrics because all have a message, generally to haters and shows pain and suffer in the past.
I see a lot of people in the comments recommending the cypher series (which you should definitely do please oh my god it will change your LIFE) but also please consider reacting to mic drop! it's like the classic "first bts song" reactor song and for a good reason :D
also, since I don't see too many people recommending an order: cypher 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then (if you liked the cyphers) the live cypher medley, then outro tear (there's a live version with lyrics subtitled in by jam sison here on youtube), then ddaeng :D don't feel pressured to do them all at once, keep up the good work!!

This song is about letting anger out, cuz there are so many thing pented up in people..
But dont hurt someone with it
So basically in this song they're saying how in the past anger would be channeled towards a positive end, even lead to revolution, but nowadays we're all just angry for no reason. We hate and speak ill of things just cause we can - via social media etc. They're also mocking those who tell them "Whats the big deal if you're sweared at, you earn so much. Quit whining." So they yell UGH in frustration and anger that they let this anger and hate affect them.
You guys should really listen to the Cyphers and Ddaeng (+the explained video) where they diss their haters. They have a phenomenal rap line!

Hey, loved your reaction as always! The colour coded videos, you'll find them for almost all the songs. You could keep with the channel u watched Ugh's translation on today, and there's also another channel called "Jaeguchi". I guess u can pretty much find all the song's translation plus romanisation in there too. There are many channels of YT which are helpful as there are many BTS's songs that don't have official music videos, so we can't know the lyrics. And these help a lot, especially new comers to know who is singing at what point so people can recognise the member's voices.

The word "Ugh" in Korean is pronounced as "Ukhae". And it's meaning is more intense for Korean people because unlike others, they don't use this word when they are frustrated, they use this word when they are just done, like they are on the peak point and gonna blow up the next second. Personally I think that this song is about the people who show extremist behaviours, as Namjoon in the lyrics said, Pretending it's rage and killing. Also J-Hope's line that, the world is taken over by rage and nobody can live without rage. That little rage is okay but going onto destroying someone's life? Will u stop?

I wasn't much into rap either, I did listen to some rap but it wasn't my favourite genre, but when I heard those three rappers and read the lyrics, I have to say, I love all their rap songs. And yeah, their rap is something you can just play while you are driving or whatever even though u don't know what exactly they are saying but u find yourself harmonising along.... I know it, I can relate well. About Ddaeng, that song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I wish they put Ddaeng on Spotify but they haven't 😔😔. You should watch the explained video of this by a korean. They’re very well known for doing explained videos for a lot of bts songs. Esp those that have a lot of korean sayings and idioms. It’s from the channel dkdktv. You should watch the songs daengg, baepsae and spinebreaker and then also the explained for those from that channel. Goes into social and political things, so the songs have a much deeper meanings.
