I think it’s intentional. I believe this guy is the true owner of the manor and this show is actually a way for netease to depict the amount of control that he has over the hunters. When Joker tried closing the jukebox, we can see Arnold’s face changing from happiness to shock. And we then see the mischievous Joker skin coming with this show. I believe Joker attempted to resist the control of the manor multiple times but got apprehended by bon bon(football match and now this). And that skin represent his will breaking as he turns into the puppet of the manor. This show is smart fr for choosing a puppet show aesthetic and silliness to hide this. But hey! That’s just a theory. A GAME THEORY!
I'm always looking for Arnold background faces and I wonder if when this show ends they will portrait Arnold like just a guy imagine puppet shows (like a kid playing with toys, being the single audience) . Or the "nah, he is just another patient from the White Sand Street... " Let him be silly, there's too much sad stories.
