As an Afghan I can read, write and speak Pashto, Dari/Persian, Urdu, English and Portuguese. Urdu/Hindi is changing rapidly due to socio-political reasons. Sanskrit/Hindi words have been removed from Urdu spoken in Pakistan, but in India it’s alive and well. If you listen to Zakir Khan’s speech you’ll realize how beautifully he incorporates Hindi words into his eloquently spoken Hindustani. My current favorite book that I’m reading is Gulistan by Sa’di Shirazi, one of the greatest literary giants of Persian literature.
whatre u yapping about? urdu didnt remove any hindi or sanskrit words. urdu originated from sanskrit and hindi came from urdu
@@user-fw5gp2me9b
Okie dokie, whatever floats your boat in La La Land.
@@user-fw5gp2me9bHindi didn't come from Urdu. Hindustani used to be spoken which had some Persian words also. More Persian words were added to make Urdu. Urdu came from Hindustani and Hindustani separated from Old Hindi. Old Hindi is descendant of Shauraseni Prakrit.
So, In conclusion Hindi and Urdu both came from Hindustani. Because of revolution in early 19th century Devanagari script was developed to move away from Nastaliq script. Nastaliq script is Perso-Arabic script.
Hindi Grammer was properly developed after Independence and few letter shapes were improved.

For non Pakistanis Hindko,Pahaarri,Pothohaari n Saraiki r regional dialects of Panjaabi !!
Hindko and seraiki have not been officially recognized a separate languages and even the speakers of these languages don’t consider themselves as Punjabis so there is no point of merging them with Punjabi, for sure they have high mutual intelligibility with punjabi but even Urdu has mutual intelligibility with Punjabi language but this doesn’t mean that Punjabi and Urdu are the same language
@@msr7373 Urdu n Panjaabi's example does not apply here at all.

It's non-issue. Whenever you create a new nation you have to leave something behind. Turks changed their entire script to move forward. Urdu is our language now which glues the whole country together.
@@MDUmairKh comparison with Turkey isn’t fair though. You mainly have 2 ethnic groups in modern day Turkey (give or take a few more), where Pakistan hosts about 4 major ethnic groups, and a dozen smaller, regional ones. While Urdu does glue the nation together, I do feel like the state did quite poorly in terms of maintaining regional languages; I grew up in Europe, where it’s pertinent to learn not just a foreign language, the national language but also a regional language/dialect. That’s how a multiethnic country is run. Hopefully contemporary lawmakers in Pakistan learn something from this, and not just save Urdu from being “Anglicized”, but also the tonnes of regional languages that have been part of this soil for over thousands of years. (P.S I say all this despite belonging to a migrant Urdu speaking background).
@@MDUmairKh Urdu isn't a Pakistani language. Its an Indian one. Nobody speaks it natively other then the Muhajirs. Stop speaking for majority of Pakistan. Our languages are Punjabi, Sindhi, pashto.. etc

@@AbdulKareem-cj1yv Bhai, mai keh raha hun ke Urdu Pakistani zubaan nahi hai. Quaid-E-Azam se bhi pehly Urdu ki koi zarurat nahi thi. Quaid-E-Azam ko khudi nahi ati thi Urdu. Sab ko Punjabi, Sindhi aur Pashto aur Balochi ati thi.
Urdu is NOT a cultural language. PUNJABI is and SINDHI too, which is spoken by the majority. Only a miniority of people speak URDU as their mother language, which are the Muhajirs.
Log aaj kal apni zuban ko bhul ke apni culture ko khudi inkaar kartay hain, dekhlain aap aaj kal Punjabi log kia karty hain? Ye batao, hum Punjabion ki zubaan Punjabi hai ya Urdu?

That guy at 4:23 speaking hindko not everyone in attock and the surrounding areas speak like that. With our history it’s different, in attock villages half are Pathans and the other half are hindkowans (Punjabis) that migrated to attock (originally part of Afghanistan) so as a Pathan from attock specifically from my village hindko is different
I also thought he was speaking punjabi. However, hindko also has its variants, abottabad Hindko is different to atock hindko.
