For british, it definitely came from UK. American, its because I was around many various accents and ig i adapted to a one that people understood? For Australian, I watched videos where people had Australian English, so thats why I know it, I think its the same with her

I'm also from Pakistan and fluent in Arabic, but her Arabic grammar was off. Is it because the UAE dialect doesn't have any regard to male/female grammar? (She addressed you as haluka instead ot haluki). Do they use "fi" when talking about their name? (Fi means in, not usually used when introducing ourselves). Also qalb (heart) is pronounced with a qaaf and kalb (dog) is pronounced with a kaaf.
I'm genuinely curious if this is a thing in the UAE.

@HTrntrs Yeah, even her pronunciation of shukran was off. I don't wanna be one of those snarky commenters but dishonesty is a huge turn off. 😓
And it's ana bi kheir,.. usually, not fi kheir, idk maybe that's a dialectal thing I don't wanna be harsh.

I am a Persian who also speaks a bit of Arabic and her pronunciation was totally off. The way she said Marhaba was the instant light that went off. Amongst the things you mentioned. I think she's lying and came off mentally unstable or insecure young girl. Her references to Pashto were weird too. In Pekhawar that say "Pakhto" not "Pashto". Pashtuns believe language is huge so for her mom to not speak it but her mom's sister does... weird. 🤨🤔

Also, I'm Pashtun! I speak Pashto as a native language and I 100% agree with you!!!
Us Pashtuns don't consider anyone a Pashtun if they forget their language. Even if you're ethnically the son of a Pashtun man, Pashtuns will NOT accept you as a Pashtun if you forget Pashto. For us that's literally what our whole identity is made up of. It's impossible for her mother to have forgotten Pashto. Plus, she looks Punjabi.

Honestly never uderstood why desi people do this. It doesn't matter where you were born or raised, your ethnicity does not change. There was no need to say im from Abu Dhabi lol emiratis don't even give non emiratis nationalities. Just say I'm from pakistan but I've lived all my life in the UAE or abroad or the Middle East.

      @ i want to tell u a difference.
Punjabi is older than Hindi and was never part of Hindi officially and also not unofficial.
On other hand Saraiki, Potowari, Hindko are part of Punjab region and historically part of Punjabi language group. I would not comment this if these dialects were not part of Punjabi last centuries.

That first girl was clearly insecure and nearly mentally ill, shouldn't have included her. She's been affected by the identity crisis that has plagued the country since the political aspirations of the government that wants to make a clear divide post partition. Arabic speakers will call her out if they see this. I feel sorry for her and hope she can reclaim her identity a bit... everything in the video referencing Pakistan was "Pakistani... BUT" "Urdu....But". She's not proud of her Punjabi roots. Also, why does she refer to her Aunt as her mother's sister... that is a sign of lying in and of itself, but then she says "My mother's sister speaks Pashto but my mother does not"... Why would that be? And it's pronounced "Pakhto" in Pekhawar. Something was clearly off about this poor girl. Arab, but British, pronounced Arabic words wrong and Pashtun. but also Punjabi. Interesting. Her mannerisms were all consistent with lying/being disingenuous and insecure.

Why would you say that she is mentally ill? She seemed open and totally fine. Since she was young and probably unmarried, her emotions were quite open but she was by no means mentally ill. She seemed confident. It is just that she didnt know urdu properly. And she even said that she is working on improving it.
Identity crisis is on the other hand a different thing. Most Pakistanis dont know that they are actually Indo Aryans.

It's not identity crisis or Inferiority complex. SHE IS EDUCATED and knows what she is talking about. Her parents origin is Pakistan however she will be known by the place where she is born and raised most of the time of her life. In her case if it's UAE or anywhere else.
