One thing not mentioned, there is a Lose Condition. If you cannot set a character card for a new battle, you lose. Since the Lead Player must set first, even if both players cannot set characters, the Lead Player loses.
With new and upcoming sets, it will become possible to level up Kaiju. For example, in the Rising EX01 deck, both kaiju in the deck have multiple level up options, and it's rumored BP03 will have kaiju that can level up. For level one cards, there are some effects of other characters and scene cards that can give them a BP boost, it just depends on the cards and combos you can make.
They play just like the Ultra Hero cards. So far, there are very few Kaiju cards in the starter decks and sets, so the majority of battles is going to be between Ultras. Hopefully they'll expand the kaiju selection in future sets!
My understanding is that there's no limit. From our playtesting, games usually resolve with no more than 4 sets of battles, though one game did go to 5 because of several ties.
looks like a fun system, though I'm super annoyed they focused on Ultra vs Ultra and made the kaiju an after-thought. IMO kaiju are what makes the franchise. It should have been 50/50 hero/kaiju

@MansMan42069 Oh nice! I didn't see that in the rule book that comes with the starter decks. Thanks for sharing that!
@MontroseGameCorner It was mentioned in the official How To Play videos on their youtube channel
Have 2 questions.
Can kaiju cards even be leveled up?
How can you get the double stack BP for level one cards?

How many characters can you have on field does it have a limit like yugioh or unlimited like magic?

@@alexstrang9823 100% agree! I hope they'll increase the kaiju ratio in future sets.
Good news, Set 3 will be Kaiju Focused and introducing Ultraman Belial
@@gedobaby I saw that! So exciting!
