    Nice lucky catch, thank you!

Oh I will admit it was a lucky catch :-) I've been so many places that are supposed to be considered busy rail corridors and see nothing for so many hours straight, and then other times you just happen across something coming your way and you don't have to wait at all! 🍀

Thank you very much! Depending on where you live, and where your preference/interests lie, you could decide "where" in Canada to visit because let me tell ya, this is a BIG country. Most people live along the southern 1/3, so it's very "wide". I love road tripping it (flying of course makes the most sense if you're trying to get from one place to another) because you really get to see everything. You get an idea of exactly how spaced out everything is, how long it takes to get from one place to another, you don't get the same appreciation when you're in a plane. It doesn't look that big on a map until you've actually driven it.
I've now been so fortunate as to have driven from one end to the other (mainland, haven't been to Newfoundland yet) and certain places really stand out in my memory as being favorites. Some people love the coast, other people adore the prairies, many are blown away by the mountains, the South (particularly Southern Ontario) has everything...including the population....and I feel that the north has a charm all its own.

Thank You so much, I live in Brisbane Queensland.
      I really appreciate your time.
Maybe we will get a chance to talk again.
I have seen a lot of documentaries on Canada and Its People.
Its probably high on my list for late 2024 when i can take a break from work.
The information that you yourself have provided me is living proof of a nice person taking the time to respond like you have.
      Really fantastic.
      By for now.

@@johnwoodall3791 I have a couple of cousins that live in Australia... they used to live in Northern Territory but have moved a few times.
I've always wanted to visit Australia. In many ways I think it might be similar to Canada, and in many ways extremely different! Australians that I've met have always been an interesting bunch with a great sense of humor and a fun way of looking at life :-)

      Hi.
Yeah, We are pretty unique i guess you could say.
Our Country is pretty much how you defined it to be as well.
Brisbane is a Nice Town but my preference is the Country areas that are in their own way very nice.
Best time is around late Autumn or early Winter.
Just nice around April and May.
Queenslands Darling Downs is very nice country.
I like the Countryside because of its diverse cultures of people and they love a good chat at the local pub / tavern over a counter meal and a drink or two and you get to know them pretty quick, kind and very lovely people they are as well.
The people in the Cities are very nice as well but you kind of feel hemmed in a bit.
Western Australia around the Kimberley region is where us people need to go when it comes to the big American Type Locomotives on very big iron ore trains and the Crews are always good for a chat and photo oppertunity.
Nice Country as well especially along the Coast Line.
Very sparce the further inland you go so your spot on with what you said.
Looking forward to next year as its been really busy work wise and i really would like to meet their people in the Countryside as well.
Spectacular images are what i have seen on Video.
We are really lucky to have such freedom to move around an open Country and look at the scenery and trains of course.
Taking a long distance train like the Indian Pacific or the Ghan will show yourself some really nice places and besides all of that their both a major train journey across our Country and really pleasant.
Hope to talk again soon as i am just about to head off to work
      Its 12:15 pm Sunday here.
Great chatting to you and hopefully again really soon as your Videos and Narration are really Special.
      Bye for Now.
      Regards to you
      John.

I like that you always show the whole train.

    • @traveling_ladyrailfan
      @traveling_ladyrailfan  ปีที่แล้ว

Oh thank you, that's good to hear, sometimes I feel that a lot of people only like to see the engines going by and that's it. They don't like to see the whole train. Of course the engines are the star of the show most of the time, but if it doesn't drag the timing of the video too much, then I like to be able to show the whole train. Thanks for your comment, it gives me something to think about... Other people must feel the same as you :-)

I love the rust streaks on the Potash hoppers, as a model weathering project they would be interesting

    • @traveling_ladyrailfan
      @traveling_ladyrailfan  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes I know what you mean, those are aesthetically pleasing streaks aren't they? I smiled to hear you compare them to a hand-weathered car. I often think of things in that same way (how could this be modeled?)
