@@leepspvideo I'm effectively a new Linux user, and the pi5 is my first pi device. My two wireless options are to solve why I'm getting 56 B/s down and 44 B/s up (or 0 down 0 up intermittently), or get plasma to recognize and use a Linksys wusb6300v2 connected to a powered USB 3 hub. I should try to solve both, as I can't rely on using my phone as a wifi dongle
Edit: I ended up flashing a new microsd with pi os, starting from scratch, which seems to have resolved the strange issue. I'll start with a fresh plasma install, and go from there. The problem first cropped up well before trying plasma, so I think I'm in the clear.

Cannot get it to NOT look like PI OS. Is this normal? Please advise. At first I thought I left the wrong card in. Ubuntu loaded fine
After writing the image (without changing any settings in imager) you just type kde and should be automatically taken to kde Wayland.

I haven’t used it much. Try the KDE forums
installed pi -lite os and after that KDE plasma , does work but browsing not possible , Falkon browser tries to load UTF-8 , installed the fonts, but can not display webpage, so switching to Ubuntu as on my other pi , have rpi5 with neo 5 case with nvme drive, update installed newest rpi-os with desktop 64 bit on nvme and only get the login screen from plasma and afterwards rpi os desktop switched in rpi-config to waylend but does not boot into plasma , , the way to g is install rpi os lite 64 bit on nvme but that does lead to utf8 problems , no page in browser, rpi os desktop is fine it's fast , in windows use the startmenu not anmore, just type it in the searchbar and it works fine, kde plasma is not the most optimal to tinstall on a rpi 5 is my conclusion.

Mine is still working. If it looks like your Pi hasn’t booted try unplugging the hdmi and reinsert it. Occasionally I get this
Too many problems. First off the iso had no name. I had to name it. Then, once booted, I tried to change the password (as you should always do) and it wanted more than four characters - shoot, it's three to begin with! Then I wanted to change to English US, USD and month day and it wouldn't do it so I wiped the card with SD Formatter. If you can't do the simplest things it's of no use to me.
The iso issue is to do with macs automatically unzipping downloads. Macs don’t seem to like pisafe created archives. Weird with the password issue its not been mentioned before I usually use passwd in terminal.
