Your enthusiasm is contagious, but the van interior has the feel of a workshop rather than a home on wheels. I also wish you had chosen a predominantly white interior rather than that claustrophobic grey.
Haha I appreciate your honesty! I like the materials they used but agree lighter can bring more space. This brand of vans are essentially prebuilt so you can’t choose options but they are a very high quality build
What up dude. Hit up Mid City Engineering. They can install a High Rev system that charges your Volta. I think it will even automatically turn on once it falls below a certain percentage. Enjoy! I have one on order and look forward to someone else with STO Content!
Thanks! Actually emailed them and they replied saying they have no way to tap into the volta only STO can do that sadly (and Travato). However I’m doing some forum diving as there may be some RV dealers that have figured it out.
Will do. Right now it’s been more that I wish I could just leave the system on while it’s parked at my apartment in cold weather and high idle if needed to get it back up. Out and about more thinking not having to loose a camp spot. That said having the auto trigger isn’t needed for either of those scenarios I just really want it haha. Seems like I’ve been losing 20-30% a day just letting it sit and sometimes plugging in a laptop or cooking but not heavy usage. I thought it would be less
@@KylePugliese the 20-30% is about normal in cold weather. Running the inverter non-stop uses up power. Turning off the inverter cuts that down significantly, but the heater blankets on the battery pack will not activate.
Unfortunately there’s no way to wire up the mid city high idle to the Volta to auto start the way it is in the Beast. The CEO of Volta had discussed it in a pod cast with STO Nation. It’s a proprietary setup between Volta & Storyteller. You’ll only be able to set it up as a manual start.
It’s gotta be something you can do. It’s pretty common in semi trucks. Truck starts automatically to keep battery charged and/or run ac/heater. I think they call it Opti Idle or something like that. I dunno, I have an APU in my truck. But I know it’s a thing is Semi Trucks.

Thanks! I’d actually try to get an excellent condition used or open box A73. I did a quick check and they’re $1599-1700 online. That was an incredible camera and then you’ll get full frame. Otherwise I’d say A6400
Had a beast on order over 5 months delayed, had an opportunity to grab the classic so I did and cancelled the beast. In hindsight I think it was the right choice as I’ve gotten to pick specific upgrades
How much are these vans? I’m doing research and not having the best of luck getting prices without having to log on and communicate with dealer. And did you buy the van complete with these accessories? Table chairs bed etc. cool video fyi

Welcome to the STO family. That rear, driver-side storage spot doesn't exist on the 2020 Classic. I think it's new as of 2022.

The midcity kit does allow you to highidle, but not automatically. You can trigger it with the drone app.

I’ve heard Benz has discontinued the 4x4 instead for AWD 😢, plus they’re switching to 4 cylinders 😔
