I own several Striders. None of them were QAQC’d properly (side-to-side play, bad blade centering, uneven edges, etc.) and they don’t innovate.
Be careful doing anything with this company. I ordered a belt from them 6 months ago and they refuse to answer or return my money.
I have a few striders from back in the early 2000s. Worth every penny. I'll never let them go
I want a SOE strider knife so bad. I've got my cash ready to go if I'm fortunate enough to get picked to buy one. Almost bought a magnacut knife he was talking about but it's more protech with a strider design.

Generally speaking I agree with this motto.. BUT... You knew there was gonna be a but... lol But It is wise to price shop when applicable. Some things aren't better because they cost more. Some things are more expensive due to costs to manufacture and put on the shelf. I know you know this. I am only commenting for the idiots that don't understand what you are saying. (probably the same ones that want prices lowered for them). Cheers!
My "cheap" pocket knife is a sprint run slab CF scales cpm S90v blade and i use it on the farm 🤣
If you want a pricey knife and think it cost too much its honestly no different than a watch or truck, you buy what works for you. If you're trying to purchase things you can't afford you arent trying to buy something you NEED and its a want.
If something is unattainable to you its probably highly likely that you have actually worked for it. When i was younger more hours meant better acknowledgement, feeling good, and ownership of so many things that could further my skill or capacity to do more work.
I paid $450 for my SnG right after the halloween party in 2016(some good Skully advice) I would not sell it for $1000 it is a working knife(beat up) still would not sell it for more than double.

A good positive work ethic and the ability to adapt to the ever changing market and its needs, have always been enough for me to afford whatever I want. Most people value their own time and effort but think very little about others skill and time invested. Someday UNICEF might get into the gear game, but until then, no pay, no play. Great video. 👍

Bought a Strider Tad gear colab knife years ago. It was a limited run of like 5 knives. Sold it like an idiot. A few years later John showed I believe the exact version he had picked up and if I’m not mistaken it was worth prob 2-3 times what I paid. Cant imagine what’s it’s worth now. 😩
There are two knife company’s that sale at a high price, and they are worth every dollar. Strider and CRK. They last forever, and warranty is the best.

I just spent 300 on a Montana Knife Co Blackfoot which makes it the 2nd most expensive knife in my collection. I want a Strider and Hinderer, but theyre both rare and more than I want to spend right now. John is right that they shouldn't lower prices

Being poor is 98% of the time self-imposed. It means you suck at spending money.
So, if some poor prepper or gun guy sees John talking about these expensive knives, they have two choices: ignore it and move on or jump head first into the comments.
The type of person who jumps into the comments section simply to complain how someone else has something nicer than them is demonstrating why they are poor to begin with.

I think what the guy was saying was Strider needs to lower their price by $200/300 per knife FOR HIM to buy it. Strider is too expensive for that guy, and that's okay. Strider isn't for that guy.
