If you are not comfortable with swimming DO NOT listen to this guy. I went to Cancun and actually did a snorkel tour with my fiance with this company Total Snorkel Cancun. We almost drowned. The guy in the video was actually there before we left on our boat and was making jokes about how the sea was rough that day and it's not gonna be fun etc. My fiance and I wanted to use life jackets instead of the alternative they offer which are ones you can blow up yourself if you want, but the tour guide dissuaded us from doing so because he said it's "not as fun" with the safer vest. Overall, If you are not able to swim, then I DO NOT recommend snorkeling. If you still do, PLEASE use the normal life vests that are already blown up/puffy and don't need to be inflated.
Not sure why this popped up, but I will say that my wife is a nonswimmer and I took her snorkeling in various places in the Philippines, she had a blast.
I went snorkeling for the first time in Bahamas - I freaked out a little seeing how deep the water was and the fish scared me. I don't know what happened! I was so looking forward to going and then I was there and freaked. Any ideas?

are you guys in puerto morelos? i want to snorkel but i am scared. specially after watching a video that says the we should wait at least 3 days after taking a long flight due to pulmonary edema.
