    wow, I've had a mahindra 1538 for 9 years now.
    Didn't know I could add all of that.
    I'm not sure how I would use it.
    I just muscle everything I can't do with the tractor.
    Wish I had all that stuff.
    My back would probably be happier. lol

    Thanks for the vid. Do you happen to have a parts list...?

    Very timely video. I just ordered the Mahindra “3rd function” kit only to find that it is a diverter valve. So now I’m in the market to set up a true 3rd function.
    I have a 1533 with backhoe and rear remotes. On my tractor it looks like they use the power beyond port for the backhoe. The rear remotes appear to come from a block on the side of the transmission with no obvious feed line, so it must be getting pressure from an internal port. Can I tee off the backhoe line on the power beyond port to power the 3rd function?

      Did you ever get this done? I have a 1533 shuttle with backhoe and am wondering what’s best to do myself.

      @@peterlast9354 yes I did. Been using it for several years now.
      I ordered a kit from Everything Attachments (they have a good video out as well).
      I use it for a grapple and a plow. Very nice not having to share a function like a diverter.
      Misleading if Mahindra to call their kit a 3rd function when it’s really a diverter.

      @@motor2of7 you have the backhoe, where did you end up connecting the kit to? The loader connections or underneath the tractor like the guy in this video? It would be awesome if you could take pics or short video and email it or upload it to TH-cam to help us out. What kit, the wr long? I’m looking to do this too.

    How did you manage to fit the hoses through the loader arms? Doesn't the pin in the center get in the way?

    Awesome video, I was wondering if you could tell me where you purchased the joystick control; did you get it directly from Scorpion or from somewhere else?? Thank you & have a great day.

      I got mine from the dealer. I’ve seen other brands too. North Idaho Implement might have something. But calling Scorpion would be good too. I know Scorpion has a good reputation.

    So i have a 1533 with third function for my grapple and my question is can i add a hydraulic top link via the same third function or do i need another add on???

    Just curious how you determined where you tied into the hydraulic block was the power beyond port and not the tank return?
    Thank you

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Saylors I was told by the dealer. But if you don’t know you can use a gauge and pressure test them. The gauge is a $20 tool you will likely need anyway. It’s one of the first diagnostic and adjustment tools you need for hydraulics. You can tweak your system PSI with the gauge too!

    I have a 1533. I'm putting on a 3rd function. I found the power beyond. For the return under the seat there is a steel line which is the pressure line. Do you have the same thing. What port did you tie into for the return?

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The return is a threaded fitting that faces straight up under the seat and just to the left of the 3pt valve that controls the speed at which the 3pt drops. If you pull the panel that the seat is attached to it should be hard to miss.

      @@bodereiss thank you for the input. I was just curious if you had the hard steel line that comes out of the top of the case near the that valve

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine doesn’t at this point. I have an HST which may be the difference. You should be able to find a plug in the case to dump the return Into. Where does the steel line go?

    What size is the fitting coming out of the Loader valve? Is it metric?

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My recollection is the Power Beyond in the valve has metric fittings. Mine has an adapter and I like the JIC fittings the best.

      @@bodereiss thanks. I'm going to pull the hose off the line that goes to the power beyond port on the loader valve and take it to a local hydraulic shop along with the 3rd function valve. I'll get them to figure out what's what.

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dannyflowers8322 It’s been too long to say go sure on the Mahindra. But most of the time the Power Beyond would be a cap and not a hose. It doesn’t get used unless you have something “after” the loader valve….like the 3rd function.

    • @dannyflowers8322
      @dannyflowers8322 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bodereiss the line that you identified as the power beyond line is the one I'm talking about. It's a hard line coming out under the seat, runs down and along the right side and just before the lower side of the brake pedal there's a transition to a hose that is the hose you point out as the power beyond. Looking at the parts breakout diagram it's identified as pressure, the hardline next to it is the return.
      Correction. The parts breakout identifies the line you pointed to, as pressure not power. The other is identified as return.

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dannyflowers8322 I just looked again at mine. It has a hard pipe and next to that is the power beyond port. Nothing is attached to it except the aftermarket 3rd function and rear remotes. I didn’t tee into an existing line.

    Where did you find the box you mounted the spook valve in?

    • @bodereiss
      @bodereiss  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The round “arm” and box was all part of the Gearmore kit. The kit includes the 2 cylinders, valve and the mounting items like the arm and box.

    I want to add the ability for a third function. I thought about just adding the rear hydraulic kit and then use an extension hose set from the rear up to the grapple when I need it.

    • @bodereiss

      If the idea of making those two connections back into the machine isn’t something you want to tackle a kit from the dealer or someone else may be best.
