- As you know, we previously covered some unused dungeons in Tears of the Kingdom.
However, did you know there's far more than that in the file? Yeah, with unused armour, weapons, food effects and more, there's a lot of content that goes unused in this game.
So we're gonna look at it in this video!

I still kind sad we can't have the great eagle bow with the blue scarf
Yeah it would have been cool. Honestly, there's a lot of stuff we should have been able to use.
What blue scarf?
"Your broke"
Well damn 💀💀💀
That hit hard💀
I feel this in my soul. Thanks for the unnecessarily brutal comment on my finances TotK...
Spent $70 on a game to be called broke
@@Kora_Bronze Now imagine if you spent even more on the collector's edition too...
Someone needs to make a mod where when you break the Master Torch, you immediately lose all of your rupees.
Cool video, I knew about some of these but never saw them in game. A few notes:
- I don’t think the other parts of the Ancient Hero's Aspect indicate they were originally going to be separate, rather they're probably there as part of how the actual item works.
- I believe a difference between the two Great Eagle Bows is that one of them, which Tulin uses, has part of Revali's Champion scarf on it like it did in BotW, while the ones Teba and Link have lack it as they are replicas. I'm not sure where/if 129 is used in game, though.
- The Goron Knuckles are used by Bludo to punch Link if you attack him.
Didn't know Bludo used the Goron Knuckle weapon. Neat.
Fair point about the part of Revali's Champion Scarf being on the Great Eagle Bow. Would have been cool if we got that version, though it makes sense we didn't.
And what do you mean about the Ancient Hero's Aspect here?
@@GamingReinvented You made it sound like at one point the body and legs of the Ancient Hero were going to be equippable separately. I don't think that's the case, I think that they just exist out of necessity for when you equip the normal item, which is the head.
@@Chubby_Bub Hmm I guess that's a definite possibility. Didn't think of it like that.
5:36 President Hudson doesn't deserve his crotch getting burned, if Addison sees it he will yell "Unforgivable!".
Hah for sure! Though he might be more shocked when he hears "Your president Hudson is badly damaged"
@@GamingReinventedpresident hudson is indeed badly damaged
I really appreciate how in this and the previous video you actually show high-quality in-game footage instead of just screenshotting the cutting room floor.
Yeah, I always try to show off this stuff in game rather than relying on other people's work.
Zelda's torch with fire on it looks so good when fused with cool items!
It really does, doesn't it? I especially love the flaming skulls and double torch combo myself!
awesome video as always, great work showing all of these. interesting stuff
Thanks Mety! Glad you enjoyed it!
zelda's torch, despite its appearance, is a metal sword. also, i would really recommend fusing a bokoblin arm to it when it's ready to break......
also, the sage's avatars can't be summoned until the vows are obtained normally, but if you edit event flags to get the sages back in the story, you can swap between the two versions by toggling the vow on or off.
if you time it right, you can even summon the avatar as the regular sage reappears to have both out at once!
@@napkin8920 Okay gotta try the sage thing for sure!
And that's what I heard too. It's apparently based on a Traveller's Sword parameter wise. Though it never attracted lightning when equipped in a storm...
Imagine the Depths also existed in BotW and was just unused lol
I like how they ended up making the giant hole Master Kohga fell into into a Depths chasm which explains why the Yiga Clan are set up down there.
Oh my god that would have been hilarious. Sadly, there's no sign of any Depths underneath Hyrule in BoTW, or of the sky islands above
@@GamingReinvented I see 😔
The type of idea of the scimitar being used as both a weapon and a shield was used to some extent, you can fuse a shield onto a 2 handed weapon so that you can block and even parry with a weapon you normally wouldn’t be able to do so with, I believe that one handed weapons can work in the same way, but there’s not a lot of need for them to, seeing as you can just equip a shield with those
True, it's the same effect you get when fusing a shield to a weapon. I guess maybe they had plans to allow it without a fuse as well?
@@GamingReinvented very possibly, but if so I would imagine it would’ve been an idea early in development before fuse was fully thought of, although I think Riju can block with her scimitars sometimes, so maybe it was coded specifically for her? I’m not sure
@@GatheredStorm_YT All the sages can block with their weapons, so it could possibly be so their avatars can defend themselves.
I love the artwork on the thumbnail, although I did know about some of the things but, still an amazing video! Learned some new stuff too!
Glad you enjoyed it! You can thank ShyGuyXXL for the thumbnail here, just like for the previous video.
6:37 game finna toasted your ass for data mining
Was there ever going to be an armor set that gave Zonaite weapon proficiency? Because that seemed to be missing.
"yo dawg i heard you like torches, so i fused another torch to your torch making a torch torch, equally useless but fun"
Funny thing is, there's another identical torch unused in the files which works exactly the same as the other unused one in this video.
7:06 wait….. but if I manage to take a picture of a sage it will say it’s the real weapon then the unavoidable one
Yeah these weapons are set up so the camera thinks they're the normal ones. Same goes with the mop NPCs use, the shields Selmie has, etc, all of which are technically different items.
I hope this gains more views, cut content is always interesting.
Thanks! I hope so as well!
In the Zelda catch cutscene the armor that you wear is the pants that you had msg not found hand and nothing on your head
Not according to the code. It seems to have at least some sort of invisible head piece for the hair style.
Still disappointed that you don't wear the armour you were previously wearing, though I guess it makes sense given they didn't want to model variants without Rauru's arm present.
There’s a glitch that lets you play when in Zelda catch and if you check your inventory the armor that your wearing is the pants that you had on the msg not found hand and nothing on your head because there is nothing to un equip on the head slot
@@miransp3812 Hmm interesting. I guess my sources might have been wrong on that point. Not sure what the head piece is used for then
5:48 NOW THIS IS SERIOUSLY COOL
Yeah the Zelda's torch fusions look awesome don't they?
idk if this is how the game is coded, but could it be possible that the charge attack with the yunobo boss weapon thing is trying to do yunobo's charge attack from the actual fight (the spin attack thing)
That's an interesting possibility. There certainly wouldn't be any data for Link's animations for that attack if that was the case, hence a crash.
5:47 ngl this kinda looks sick
GuardianResistUp still exists in the game
Hmm I probably should have included that, though I'm not sure how I could have demonstrated it without any Guardians.
@@GamingReinvented Isn't Gloom Spawn literally the same object ID? But that won't work with them because the parameter is not set for them.
@@PilaCiu Same ID as far as responses from NPCs go. But I don't think they're treated like Guardians when it comes to attack damage and related properties sadly.
I'm genuinely shocked that the Vai armor isn't in the game, unused.
Yeah it's strange given most other things from BoTW are in the game. Heck, even the attack up effect from the ancient set is technically present in TotK...
12:10 Is that not because it's a shield?
Good point, someone mentioned that in the datamining server. My source wasn't clear what sort of item it was, and the others were weapons, so I assumed the same. I'll test it as a shield
@@GamingReinvented That was me
@@robuxyyyyyyyyyy4708 Oh you can tell I'm really bad at recognising names lol
How do you get these things tho?
Save file editing. Had to learn a lot about that when researching for this video
are their any unused monsters
Sadly not as far as we can tell. There are unused point values for scaling up silver enemies, implying gold ones may have been considered at one point, but it's not confirmed, since the gold enemies in the last game also had said values set.
good video:)
Thanks! And thanks for your help too!
Neat
6:37
Bro why is the game bullying us 💀💀
I know right? That's not cool game, not cool.
MORE
There will be more unused (and weird only accessible via save editing) content videos this coming week and the next
I'm sorry I just can't with this voice
I thought I was the only one 😂
Pro tip: Turn on subtitles.
It makes it 90% easier to undorstend.
What kind of comment was this. Go back under your bridge.
Someone please explain why Thomas changed his voice to some trans clown character for this channel...
