Thanks for the review and comments. Will the frames fit if installed lengthwise. I'm looking for a tub that I can let the frames drip in while waiting to use my two-frame extractor. Also, to keep the robbing down.
I never knew honey gates cld be so different. I have the cheap ones that came on my buckets and extractor but plan on getting nicer ones before next season. That was a really really really good video! Sorry, I cldnt resist 😂😂
Bought same capping tank my first year from Cutler supply.. I just cut the caps off then turned them upside down slowly the honey drained out by itself. I didn't have extractor my first season
Natalee, another good video. I’m like you I don’t understand why theses companies doesn’t make the capping tanks wide enough to hold the frames. I tried the Pierce hot knife and uncapped 3 or 4 supers and went back to my Serrated knife. For me the trick is to keep the cold or serrated knife sharp. I was going to buy a Hive Butler because it will hold the frames but I think I’m just going to get a stainless steel uncapping tank. I’m surprised that y’all haven’t went with a big stainless uncapping tank and a mechanical uncapper as much honey as y’all produce. Maybe a big company will send you both for reviewing and advertising.
Great review, Natalee! Thanks for the information. I didn't realize there was such a difference in honey gates. I will certainly be paying closer attention in the future.
When me & my Son are going to harvest honey next year, a hot knife would be a good tool, I see now! if I compare what I have already cut clean frames with a regular knife, although we have 230ac 50hz but surely they can be bought here too?
My suggestion . Buy a metal thumb screw . I had a plastic thumb screw on a bucket and it broke over night . 5 lb of honey my tile floor and under a 6x8 ft rug
