They are probably keeping it a secret... Most likely we will have a new dark sub-class... Afterall in the dark future eris was the "real witch queen". So i think eris might teach us a thing or 2 how to wield the darkness via hive magic... As pointed out in the trailer the light is no longer granted it can be taken... Most likely the hive ghost are a result of sagira's death and countless ghost that were lost to the hive because in the CoO she and our ghost share the same shell

It foretold EVERYTHING that was announced today even Savs hive eyes turning blue. It also said that vapor is coming with witch queen and based on the accuracy of the leak it would be foolish not to believe it.
I love how this trailer differs from previous expansion trailers. It’s always been us Guardians going on a rampage against our enemies. But in this trailer, it shows us getting pubstomped by Hive Guardians.

My first memory of destiny is on the second or third mission in the cosmodrome heading towards the sky watch, that dark room where thrall would jump at you; I almost crapped myself back then, but I also remember getting an achievement.... it’s amazing how far we’ve come...

Eyes will be the add clear and major deleter, ghorn is the boss DPS and a major deleter. There's some overlap but if you need boss DPS ghorn is the way and if you don't may as well go for eyes to clear adds... That's my guess
In your vid at the 2:44 mark, where Savathun says “if it lives in the world… or in the mind.” it almost showcases that thrall with a thorny bloomed flower sprouting through its throat. That moment made me instantly wish for a darkness subclass involving those plants. Doom-bloom subclasses anyone?
I felt disappointed at first by no new subclass, but then I realized how much healthier of a choice it was for the game to go this route and I was on board. Making sure that everything that is currently in the game is at it's best state as opposed to risking another Stasis backlash. And judging by what the hive guardians have access to with 2 trees of solar hunter, I am sure we won't lose the variety we had.
I'm still kinda confident we'll get a new element, maybe not a full subclass just yet. But that yellow - green energy is just everywhere in the promotional stuff and in the trailer. If you take a look at the WitchQueen art, it has three guardians standing facing the viewer, on the ground infront of them are the glows of the 3 light elements, but under the 3 guardians we again see this sickly yellow glow that we haven't seen elsewhere in Destiny.

The titan had a poison grenade in the reveal trailer. Maybe poison was originally meant to be in the witch queen but they decided it wasn't ready and they wanted to work on light first.

They are actually going to start revamping the light subclasses once Witch Queen comes out first. Void will be revamped during Witch Queen/Season 16 while the other two will most likely be revamped in one of the other three seasons, and then finally a new darkness subclass with Lightfall.
Looks promising and can't wait for weapon crafting but I'm hoping you will re review the moon weapons as they have added auto loading holster and firing line back to tranquility and overflow to arc logic which is great

The promotional art for witch queen shows red blue and purple glows for the hive having the light now. And under our guardians there is green glow = corruption confirmed?
So far the season has been kinda hinting that something will be coming later as we interact with the seasonal content, so I'm anticipating a late reveal
No corruption subclasses seen. This is actually a good thing, as it shows descent story telling. We couldn't just have Erris come up and ask us if we wanted to play with hive magic. By having the hive use light, either stolen from guardians or gained through other means, we are forced to try and find a way to take that light back. Que up the hive subclasses, where we use hive magic to steal back the light. Which essentially causes the guardians and the hive to change rolls, which is all part of Savathun's plan all along. Cause the Traveler to choose the Hive over humanity.
Every time I watch the 30th anniversary trailer and they announce Gjallarhorn I never fail to tear up, I can't believe it's coming back..it's been too long.

They are actually going to start revamping the light subclasses once Witch Queen comes out first. Void will be revamped during Witch Queen/Season 16 while the other two will most likely be revamped in one of the other three seasons, and then finally a new darkness subclass with Lightfall.

Tech I can confirm lorentzo driver or whatever is completely disgusting at least on console I just pulled a 66 kill control game and I didn’t use any other weapon didn’t pull out my primary once and only got 4 kills with my super I feel like I’m invincible rn

Witch queen feels like the fresh breath we got from TTK but massive destiny needed something like this holy shit.
No corruption subclasses seen. This is actually a good thing, as it shows descent story telling. We couldn't just have Erris come up and ask us if we wanted to play with hive magic. By having the hive use light, either stolen from guardians or gained through other means, we are forced to try and find a way to take that light back. Que up the hive subclasses, where we use hive magic to steal back the light. Which essentially causes the guardians and the hive to change rolls, which is all part of Savathun's plan all along. Cause the Traveler to choose the Hive over humanity.
Every time I watch the 30th anniversary trailer and they announce Gjallarhorn I never fail to tear up, I can't believe it's coming back..it's been too long.

I think the mechanic for hive guardians is you gonna have a small window of time before the hive ghost disappear to revive their hive guardians
