I notice you have your Mara X under the kitchen cabinets. Did you change the feet? I found filling the water tank difficult. Sliding the machine out to where I could get to the water tank was near impossible. At one point I was using my machine and it refused to supply water because the water level was too low. I couldn't get my head in there enough to see the water level. Couldn't get the water tank out but lifted it enough to see it was quite low. Moving it to an island where I can just peak inside the water tank has really helped a lot.

Jfyi, along with cup change for the latte art purposes, there is one more thing. Crema density and texture matters. After I started steaming milk prior to the shot, the quality of my latte art increased dramatically)
I bought the Normcore puck screen too. I couldn't justify the price of a B-Plus puck screen but I have seen a review from someone who bought both the Normcore and the B-Plus. They found there was more consistency with the B-Plus. I still like my Normcore puck screen because it makes less need to clean the group head.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this wonderful machine. To enhance your latte art technique, be advised to use cups that gets wider at the top. It will be much easier than using that tall narrow one.

I only had the 1zpresso jx pro and I think its a solid buy still . The only reason I got the crono was to save some time in the morning before heading off to school.
1zpresso K Ultra works great for me. I wouldn’t go for an automatic one since it costs more, it takes more space, it is loud and there is little to gain. With manual grinder it takes perhaps about a minute at most to grind 17g of coffee.

Do you keep it on during the day?
No I have it plugged into a smart plug. So it has scheduled times that I can turn it off and on so it’s ready to go throughout the day 👌

Is the water from the hot water wand drinkable? Or is it going to taste bad enough to ruin americanos?
From my experience I would leave it off to the side for about 1 min to use it for the Americano. The water comes out way too hot
