Building A Recreation Terry Ross's Street Machine Magazine Small Talk Project Galaxie - Part 3

After Nearly a year of sitting on the bench collecting dust, we're finally back on the "Project Galaxie" build.
With the next Street Machine GB looming I thought now was a good time to get this one finally finished.
in this episode we just get ourselves familiar with where we left off and also got a bit more done to set us up for the next part of the build.

The Galaxie is one of my favorite body styles. It really is a smooth lookin car.

Thanks Terry, I'm right with you there and don't think there is a Galaxie I didn't like. Shame Amt stopped the body style at 70 with as I would love a kit of the 71 Ltd or Galaxie, since I saw Freebie and the Bean in the early 80s I've always loved that car. Thanks so much Shawn and as always you're too kind 🙂 I must admit I felt a lot better yesterday for getting back on with this one, almost grew an anxiety against it so glad to finally overcome that and put it back on the bench. Have found a few bits over the last year though to do the diorama as well which I wouldn't have done last year so I guess the wait will at least bring the thing to life a bit more... Only problem is I've never done a diorama before, prepare yourself for some amateur stuff with that, haha 😂 thanks again Shawn, really appreciate it and we will get it finished this time 🙂

Thanks David, was happy with how the seats turned out, definitely took longer masking than I thought it would but hopefully it'll add to the finished model once it's all together. Many thanks again 🙂

I should checked out that kit when I was lookin for a chassis for my 64

Thanks so much Butch 🙂 definitely a good idea with swapping out chassis, I think the frames had changed in 65 but if you're like me and not too fussed about that then it's definitely a route I'd go down too. I think the Amt 60 Starliner has a closer frame to the 63-64 and even more detailed so would be a good choice too for any future projects 🙂 thanks again buddy, really appreciate it 🙂
