Mr Otitoju (the name says it all) always choose his words and that is one of the reasons why he's the best commentator ever in Nigeria medias. He always nails it on the head because he knows that the truth shall set you free. God Bless Babajide Otitoju for his contribution to Information is Power. His comments on Amotekun is well explained and understood why Asiwaju Tunubu did not rush to judgement on Amotekun Security Initiative. Baba Asiwaju Tunubu is one of the leaders of the Yoruba and the Yoruba needs him today, tomorrow and in the future.

    WISDOM FOR LIFELONG LEARNING
    Why, Why, Why!!!
For how long will the Nigerian political elites continue to act like the proverbial ostrich? Nigeria is gradually imploding and the elites are speaking unproductive turenchi. Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo has discredited current leadership of Nigeria as having an islamisation and fulanisation agenda. That's exactly the position from where dialogue should start from. We must be cognizant that volatile political issues like 'Amotekun' will continue to appear within Nigeria's political terrain to expose the dangerous fault lines of Nigeria's tribal jingoism backed by threats and counterthreats. Is this the beginning of the end for Nigeria?

It is high time for Nigerians to embrace regional sovereignty this will reduce fraud and corruption as well as reduce the power of presidency. I quite enjoyed your view on NNPC it should be public- private management affairs, Malaysia PETRONAS is a great example of how a country can manage petroleum sector successfully. PETRONAS has been effectively managed to the extent that it involves in many corporate social responsibilities that gives postgraduate and undergraduate scholarships to people across Asia and Africa. Aside from those CSR that are being practiced within Malaysia. Nigerian NNPC as large as it is has not been doing anything of such except wasteful spending, fraud and corruption...something need to be done to revive the sector. Mind you, the problem is not limited to NNPC alone a lots of Nigerian public sectors are not being productive and government keeps on spending huge amounts of monies on salaries and wages without contributing anything to the national economy. Kudos to you guys.

Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is NOT an Asiwaju at all, but "Akehin" or "Agbehin" (last person). Please stop calling him Asiwaju or Leader because his action and speech is immaterial to the development of Yoruba land, let him go and stop Amotekun if he has the power. A leader can not maintain silence on a critical issue in a society where virtually every body's life is at risk. Over time he has been silent about Fulanis' invasion of the South-West and security issue of Nigeria. I see pride, selfishness and high headedness in the character. Why should I call him a leader? Unfortunately, most people that call him a leader did not know the meaning of a leader or rather they are sycophants. Tinubu calls for dialogue on Amotekun security outfit, this is a blanket statement that has no impact on the subject matter. The South West has the right to protect themselves against Fulanis attacks and Other crimes. We all know where he belongs let him keep his words to himself. Tinubu wants to control everywhere but is NOT possible. Please Tinubu is NOT a leader probably in APC. A leader like Fayose, Soyinka, Obasanjo, Governors of South-West, Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Femi Fani-Kayode, Femi Falana, and Others are better as a leader when compared with Bola Tinubu. Please, Babajide and Dotun don't defend Bola Ahmed Tinubu let him defend himself. Whatever infrastructure you put on the ground if there's no security all vulnerable to destruction.

This is part of the problem we have with Nigeria. People are looking and waiting for Tinubu (Asiwaju) to speak. What happens to discussing the issues from a logical and strategic framework rather than what Tinubu said. These commentators (Otitoju et al.) are discussing personalities rather than the topic. This is the same Tinubu that controls the economy of Lagos like no human being should be allowed to do. Nigeria needs a balance nationwide in terms of military representation, numbers, leadership, weapons acquisition, distribution etc. We do quota system in Education, even football ironically but the military and Army is dominated by the North. What stops them from colonizing us internally? It therefore follows that we should have a well trained alternative support system if it's difficult to change the existing structure.

The problem Nigeria as a country has on security and economy is one of incompetent leadership.
How else can we explain festering degeneration of security to life and property in a regime headed by a supposedly professionally ex-military leader; who doubles as the one in charge of the nation's only revenue earner.
As for the labour payment system, Nigeria should take a leaf from what is the practice in all of the developed nations by paying workers everywhere on per hour basis. This would eliminate under-utilisation of of workers in any employment as well as encourage definition of assignments.
No worker can be employed for non-existent function and performing of any function can be measured in terms of time needed for its execution.
