if you are scared of it then make your own samples... record stuff with your phone even. there are a lot of ways you could do it ;) Even if you use samples, is it so bad... most music is copying some other song in some way or another.
What I call the sample collecting trap is when you pass your time collecting samples instead of actually making music ;) I might get an digitone first to limit myself
i whant to know how i make long notes on the A4, because the 4 patterns just give me around 9 seconds to make each note, and ofcourse this is very, very short to make music, note that i dont whant more patterns, i know how i make it, i just whant to make a long note with some efects, understand my point?so, i apreciate this greatful help, thanks!
dj digital addict You can chain patterns together, halve the time signature or chain multiple patterns together. In this video I just used a basic 64 step loop and recorded the notes into it with its onboard keyboard
I'm at work at the moment and not in front of my Elektrons. I recommend having a watch of Cuckoo's Elektron Tutorials especially the one called: "Elektron Analog Four (A4) - Making A Song CUCKOO" If I remember correctly this discusses using chains together to make a song. Hope this helps :)
