I watched another channel with a brand new ‘23 RT - the complete left side switch gear became inop - wonder what that’s about. I love my GSA but I’m REALLY loving the RT - may be time to switch up a couple of things.
I've been thinking about getting one of these bikes but I hear ya have to do valve adjustments Have you had to adjust the valves which I'm not thrilled about...have you had to adjustment any of the 21 and up models ?
From the title I thought maybe you fried a LiPo battery. Never good when the magic smoke gets out. I'm pretty sure he was smelling the heated grips and maybe some other "new bike" smells. Doesn't explain the TFT though. Peace and love.
@@chrishill6043 hi, Ihave the 2022 model, and I don't have that antena, alltough I have a radio, maybe a better gps antena, or some owner device. Thanks!
I would be more concerned about the aftermarket gadget attached to the lefthand grip. Looks like it is interfering with your ability to correctly operate the controls on that side. If it were me, I would remove it immediately.
@@leegreen67He mentioned "every time I reach for the turn signal switch that Sena thing gets in the way". I bet it's a switch for a Sena helmet sound system. I agree, not a good place to have that switch located. Not good at all.
I like that every BMW that you have ever test ridden sounded like it was in business to DO BUSINESS!! Why? Lol!! I guess it’s raining everywhere. Stay safe and be like me, DRY👍🏽
I bought my first BMW in 2007 (K1200GT). I took it right off the showroom floor and put 130K miles on it. Then, in 2015, I bought a used K1300GT. I still have it and she has 107K miles on her. I would love this R1250RT, but it's just too much money.
@@CorwinTH-cam I loved both the K1200GT and K1300GT. I bought the K1200GT new off the showroom floor. I was really looking at the K1200S, but decided that it was too much of a sport bike for me (I was 49 when I bought it). The only real issue I had with the 1200 was that there was a recall for the cam chain tensioner (I believe I got that right). Mine broke off before I could have it replaced, but it ended up being warranted by BMW. It was a $6K dollar fix. (BMW solved that problem in the K1300GT.). I was meticulous with the service. When it was time, I took it in. I am not one to do the work myself as I am not a mechanic. I put 130K miles on it before selling it for $3K. The power that that bike had was incredible. It had a low center of gravity and was quick. I bought the K1300GT used. It already had 10K miles on it. It was a 2009 and I purchased it in 2015. It too, had the same low center of gravity and was even quicker. I was just as meticulous with the service. After a few years, the bike started drinking oil. I was going through about a quart every 1K miles. The mechanics at two different dealers told me that it was normal that older engines burned a little oil. Fast forward to this summer when the engined just stopped while idling. I took it to the dealer and they found that the one of the cylinders had a very low compression and that there were other issues with the valves. By this time, I had had the bike eight years and put another 100K miles on it. The fix was a more money than I was really wanting to put into a bike that was 14 years old with 100K miles on it. It also had other issues (needed a new rear shock, one of the heated grips didn't work, the clutch was going to need replacement soon). It seemed better to put the money into something new(er). I ended up trading in the K1300GT for the R1250RT. I thought about the K1600, but it was too and heavy and the maintenance costs were going to be more than I wanted to spend. I'm 65 now and the R1250RT is just perfect. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but plan to put some miles on it as I am retiring soon. I would expect that the K1600 will be an amazing machine. I've heard that that six cylinder is a great engine and the bike has some great technology.
I ride an RT and love it. You two make a beautiful couple 👍
Fantastic! 👌
Thanks so much MS!! 👍
Great ride … what a beautiful display on that bike. Have a great one👍
Thanks, you too Chris!!
Wet old day there. I have not ridden since October! Always seems to rain or freezing cold here. Not long now. Thanks guys.
I have a 1200 I I don’t experience any numbness riding the RT 1200
Turn signals do not turn off as the comfort setting is likely in wrong mode
Nice beamer, those sound just about perfect. Gotta love the pups. Speaking of, pet the puppers for me. God bless, Rob
Thanks Rob!! 10-4 on the puppy pets..!

Well I pick up my 2022 R1250RS in Lite White tomorrow 😁😁Hopefully nothing goes wrong, like the weather, that'll hold things up.
Way cool! You're going to love that RS.
Thanks Charles!!

Good Tuesday afternoon from Columbus, Ohio. Thank you for your daily content.
Good honest video and nicely put together.
Did notice your helmet strap was unattached.
My dogs won't take no or wait for an answer either!
Hi there, can you please tell us whats the gadget in the middle above the TFT dash? Thank you in advance!
I believe its the antenna for the radio.

What engine guards and rear guards are on that white 23 RT?
Those are Ilium Works guards. I have them on my ‘22 RT. I like mine. They also make some really nice highway pegs to go with them.
Zee Germans with their heated grips and TFT display….lol. That is a very nice RT, it is out of my price range. Good stuff Smoak’s!
Thanks Gus!! 👍
42 degrees thought that's hot dude.

You won’t be able to use that road before too long.😢
I can't imagine the dealership maintenance cost for this thing. Otherwise great!
It cost me $362.00 for the 6,000 mile service 2022 1250 R/T
