I like the Amel 60 the best. Best interior. Safest helm and sail control system. Aft master suite. You don't want the master suite in the bow. Best galley. Amazing induction stove. Very good engine room. This is the boat I want to sail around the world with.
This really is the perfect Blue Water Yacht.
Hard to find any other yacht with same quality and features as standard.
Why blue water? Are all main components redundant?

That's reasonable compared to the price of a small house in Southern California. To get a house here that is the equivalent of the Amel 60 yacht in terms of quality and lifestyle you have to spend $10M.
The inside bar Miss. Olivia Recoupaux designed is the biggest I eve saw on a sailing boat! Very nice!

Amel 60 really stands out amongst its competitors. If only the 2 cabins could moved to the aft - whereas the master cabin occupies the front (bow) section, I think it would be much better. It gives the guess cabins much space whereas not comprimising the master cabin space as well.
bow cabins are horrible. noisy and the movement is much more than aft. there is a reason to their madness

Thanks for the video. Many ppl nit & pic about this or that. Thats to be expected. Amel is the rock-solid gold standard in blue water sailing. I wouldn't have quams about sailing in gale force winds with an Amel. Other yachts I'd have my doubts. Still, that's what your paying for. Luxury, safety & quality. I'd take an Amel over any other Yacht in a heartbeat.

The trouble with these boat shows,they let too many people onto a boat at once,they should restrict it to 2 or 3 at a time,and not let them take up all the room talking,if they are interested in the buying it,then they can surely sort that shit out ,outside,pain in the ass!!!!

Yep. At the end he shows the sign for the Amel 50, but the video is of the Amel 60. The 50 is around 1M Euro, well optioned. The 60 hits 1.6M+. IMHO, I like the layout of the 50 better unless you really need the 2 double berth cabins w/ their own head (the 50 has a double cabin and a twin bunk cabin w/ a shared head up front).

troubauk I think so! Amel 54 was the last boat design with input from Henry Amel personaly and the last true Amel!
To not be missunderstud,I am not against progres and new/modern design features,not stuck like some "purists" who probably does'nt even know that Henry Amel was on the forefront of implementing new almost futuristic features in his boats....
Digress,but anyway I do not think that Baret Racoupou is good match for this brand. Taking account on his past works and direction on which he took Amel... in a generation or the they will become "med cruisers" sadly.

Vlado Petrovski I was wondering why the new 60 looks like most of the other new 60s from the other builders. They all make the same boring front half of the boat but I still like the Amel master suit over the other builders! I would love a Hanse though.

Seems like it - I really don’t like this new interior look
are their any hull cameras with lights sewn into the fibre glass to provide remove visibility of the propeller, rudders, keel, thrusters, forward and stern...NO! Why for the love of god, why? There should also be mast head inspection cameras as well as from mast head bow, stern, port, and starboard cameras. These things are cheap but are safety and convenience must. :)
If they could get this in a lifting keel that would be sweet. :)
No arch for the main sheet? Why? They you could extend canvas to it to enable a bigger usable cockpit bad weather or climates. The goose neck attachment does not seem robust. Is it a designed-in sacrificial point?
There is a 8" approx hole under the owner's cabin bed with a window over the prop, the rudders can be seen by leaning over the side port and starboard. I agree cameras are extremely cheap now a days.

Now they offering glitter with bells and whistles that won't leave yacht clubs the minimumlst design offers nothing to the real amel lovers now its just another prodution boat no better than a sunseeker or first odyssey the designers brings shame to a once great company i suppose that what happens when the workers control 98% of the company now there only thinking of profits

Surprised to seem form over function on an Amel. There is no continuous hand rail on the companionway stairs, just a pole to grab? The raw teak dash at the helm is beautiful but maintaining that surrounded by electronics is a nightmare. Some of the hardware and joinery looks to have sharp corners. At least all the fiddles are still rounded.The stupid basin sinks are trendy but are impractical on a boat. Not really the interior you expect in a blue water cruiser.
