So throughout the school year, she started to fall in love with the boy, but then graduation hit her like a truck and she didn't know what to do. She kept on denying these feelings she had for the boy, having thought they were stupid, worthless and "not real". Soon she realised they were real as _fuck_ and didn't know what to do, trying to find someone to blame for these feelings. A few days later, she decided she would confess to the boy, because she truly did love him. But she couldn't gather up the courage and backed out, not giving the boy the letter where she wrote about how she loved the boy, resulting in her just putting the said letter into a time capsule for her 28 year old self to give the boy.
I feel as if this song is talking about how this girl loved someone but just couldn't accept her feelings for him or just couldn't find a way to tell him. And because she couldn't find the courage to tell him she wrote those letters hoping that maybe she'll give it to him one day and confess her true feelings instead of making excuses not to.
So this might sound a little cheesy, but this song inspired me to write a letter to myself that I saved on a flash drive that I will look at in 10 years, and see how much is changed I don’t know if anyone cares for this, but hopefully you do, so thank you Rachie It might not be about procrastination about telling someone how I really feel, but it’s my honest and somewhat cringing thoughts right now
