Idea for Cozy Glow boss battle: It has six phases, each using a different one of the six cultural artifacts. Once you beat her with one, she switches to another. Amulet of Aurora: She attacks using Tsunamis, barrages of bubbles to attack multiple times, and whirlpools to deal damage over time, and can create a water shield around herself to increase defense. Talisman of Mirage: Uses illusion magic to seemingly become an Ursa Major. It uses different constellations as attacks. Once the Ursa Major is beaten, the illusion is shattered, and she switches to the next artifact Helm of Yiksler: Cozy gains the strength of a Yak and gets smashing and ramming attacks. Plus, she hurts your will to fight, lowering attack power. Nuckerbaucker's Shell: Summons a dragon that she rides on that fights for her. Has heavy hitting claw attacks and fire breath. Crown of Grover: Cozy gains the speed of an eagle and can zoom around to deliver fast blows, or go for one big strike with the ferocity of a lion. Can often dodge attacks in this form. Clover the Clever's Cloak: The final artifact gives her a wide assortment of spells that inflict a great number of status effects, buffing her and nerfing your party. Once she is defeated in this phase, she's out of artifacts and is fought in her true form, that has low attack and only 1HP. Just hit her once, and you win.
In a way you want it to be like the Avatar of Nyx boss battle from Persona 3, with a Gideon Graves from Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game ending to wrap it up.
And if you beat her as Zi-O/Geiz, Oma Zi-O appears as a secret boss, takes all of her powers, and becomes stronger. He has similar attacks from Zi-O in Climax Scramble Zi-O and Cozy Glow, but has Ridewatch and time powers. If you want to weaken him, just destroy one artifact, and he'll have his guard down. He also has artifacts of his own, such as: The Staff of Demnos from Solstice: Summons the souls of the dead, and attacks the player with various magic. Dead Ringer from TF2: Makes Oma Zi-O invisible for periods of time. Infinidagger from Shovel Knight: Oma Zi-O repeatedly charges the player with the Infinidagger, and flies with it.

Doesn't Cozy Glow know where the tree of harmony is too? I didn't know the tree of harmonies location was a secret. Besides the tree could easily defend itself against the 3 of them. The tree took down a fully powered Tirek. It's like the strongest entity in Equestria and now it's sentient.
Chrysalis would probably be a loose end. All though even without her hive she's probably the strongest of the 3 at the moment. And she can gain power by harvesting the love of other creatures. I wonder who is stronger. Did Tirek even go after the changelings? He probably couldn't since they had that magic nullification throne. Although if he could absorb some changeling magic he could probably get past it by using their magic against them. QC could probably also start a new hive from scratch. She'd have to invest some time into it though. I'd also like to see Cozy Glow release the pony of shadows and become its new host. That would be cool.
Great work on Pony Darla Dimple's theme. :) Who'd have thought out of all the villains over the years she'd be the one who not only had no interest in redemption but ended up in Tartarus?
I was hoping you'd do this ever since I saw the episode. What you came up with was pretty epic. A great theme for a duel against the ultimate chessmaster.
Now we see why her Cutiemark was a Chess Rook, she was playing one big game of chess with everyone, and she would have gotten the big checkmate if not for the Student 6, even though we got the usual Villain Reform with the Speciesist/Racist Neighsay, it was still nice to get a Pony character who truly Was Evil for a Change, I mean since the beginning of the series it kept seeming like a golden rule was that no pony could Truly be Evil to the Core for Real & all on their own, but Cozy Glow broke the status quo and showed that her true colors revealed her to be a naturally evil character, or at least she will be unless Season 9 or something reveals otherwise.
I never saw cozy glow as the enemy at first appearance. but she got what she deserved in the end. good luck escaping Cozy, not that I'm expecting you to escape

Given what was established before Season 8 premiered (Lord Tirek reappears in the finale), Chancellor Neighsay's role in the premiere (and how his prejudice against non-pony species made him hated both in-universe & out), and the trailer for the second half of Season 8, I personally thought that the final battle would be a three-way... Twilight Vs. Neighsay Vs. Tirek. Therefore, I was totally blindsided when I watched clips of the finale's early airing in Europe & found that Cozy Glow is the real villain of Season 8's finale.
This music is totally sweet and epic! It should be used as a boss theme in the Mario series or the Kirby series! However, during the series finale next Saturday, I hope that Cozy will reveal why she tried to take away Equestria's magic and be redeemed. 👸💗💟🌹💐🌸🎀🐱🦄🍰
