    Your camera work (particularly drone shots, which I'd love to see a tutorial on just out of curiosity) is excellent. Personally, I bike through some highly unphotogenic areas give or take the odd gorgeous coed that jogs by me as I suck wind and am mainly concerned about remembering where the potholes and road pizza are so I don't run them over again.

    @ 3:24 or there abouts, there is a rattling type noise that I get on my action cam, only 100x louder. It takes over the recording. Is there anyway to eliminate it?
    I use the same cam on my motorbike helmet and there is none of that rattling noise.

    These sorts of mounts are always tricky because they seemed to be made for the smallest round handlebar.

    You should try out the gopro hero 9 with the lens mod. The horizon lock and stability is awesome, plus it cuts the shaky effect of that camera mount. When i look down at my camera i can see it vibrating from the road surface.
    That camera mount looks really useful

    • @jollygoodvelo
      @jollygoodvelo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would love to try a Hero9 but I would have to buy one and, sadly, I just don’t have the budget for it at the moment. The horizon lock feature sounds great but I can also see how it might also be inconvenient.

    • @markh9194
      @markh9194 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But the battery life on the 9 is awful.... I think the 6 and 7 has the sweet spot for features and battery life, it's a p.i.t.a. changing the battery mid ride imho.

      @@retroonhisbikes an hour.... That's pitiful, 2 hours on my 7 isn't enough. I know they need to keep the cameras small to make them attractive but at the cost of battery life and usability imo. Can't complain about the IQ though.

    I watched this with interest, being late to the party discovering the software. I did a ride yesterday with my Osmo Action mounted on the stem, but very shaky video, rocksteady was on, which is normally good, but I shot at 24fps, 1/50s, maybe thats my mistake? Your footage is very smooth on the bike as, a road bike really vibrates.

      @@jollygoodvelo I used the first gen Sony mount with my Sony action cam and what a floppy piece of junk the mount turned out to be. I've since used k-edge mounts with great success and recently Topeak mounts.

    Nice review. I use something similar to mount my camera. One question I have is ... how do you get your audio so crisp and clear? I’m always getting wind interference. On your recent 100km ride video I could even clearly hear the audio of one of your riding mates as you were riding along. I be interested in a video on how to get the on-bike audio so clear. Keep up the good work.

    Not suitable for mountain bikes. My Pgytech lasted about a month, then it broke off just below the ballhead. On the other ballhead I could observe stress lines where it would break off in not too distant future. Also, over time you have to tighten the ballhead more and more and it still slips on rough sections of the trail. My camera is GoPro 9.

    • @jollygoodvelo
      @jollygoodvelo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s good to know. So far, I’ve not had any issues with mine.
