Hi 👋 James. Really neat job on the kitchen utensils insert. Top marks for that. Yes use that wood for your wardrobe and bathroom doors and anything else you can make..........🤔 This is what your channel is all about an ordinary guy making a boat 🤣 Take care cheers as always Stevie 👍🏻
Another good job done, I have moved my cooking spoons and spatulas into a utensil jar, placed by the stove top, very handy, the tools I use less often stay in the drawer. Looking forward to seeing how the old doors make it to the boat. Take care.
Greetings, as always enjoy the DYI of your Vlogs.... great cradle idea ! Think 🤔 about the hobs cover again to keep the dirt & muck down. Keep in continuity to match the bedroom? Marvelous using the repurposed hardware from the wood doors...Cheers, TTFN
I reckon a wardrobe and bathroom door would look good made in them doors. I would put the fronts on the drawers with the hole through, then ppl could see it throughout the boat
If you want drawer fronts, I'd just add a section all round the perimeter and leave the melamine in the centre, shaker style. You can either mitre like a picture frame or do shaker stile and rail. You can then also leave the opening holes untouched.
An angle grinder will soon have those knives down to size. Opportunity missed for some "The Doors" guitar soundtrack. Light my fire would be apt for you. ;o) All the best, mate.
I can promise you James, if you tuck the cheese knife 🧀 at the back there you’ll NEVER use it.....! bit like my cake-server even tho I love cake 🙃🙃🙃 Love the handles n locks, very quirky...... Hope you’re well, Cheers
What do you think about turning the tray around in the drawer so the little kids hands will fall in the front of the drawer instead of reaching so far deep to get to their utensils and just cutting off one section of the dividers for the butter knives?
I can't remember if you said you were going to add something to the drawer or frame to stop it coming right out and falling on the floor. Particularly when you mention the kids going into the drawer for a spoon or something. Cutlery drawers often got really heavy......just saying. That insert is brilliant btw.
Mmmmh what about looking on eBay and buying a canteen of good stainless steel cutlery? It's what I do on the caravan. The cutlery lives in the box in the cupboard.
Go careful with all this Danish oil btu build up will make you sick bud loving the vids tho keep up great work and when you make it down the Oxford give me a shout I need your woodwork magic on my springer

Great job, we love watching from Australia!
Enjoying your ingenuity ❣️❣️
That is well thought out tray/drawer... Great stuff.
nice work - I'll try to remember that when we re-do our kitchen
"Ohhh Is that all the cutlery I've got ?" Nek minute...delivery from amazon.
Great job and hello from Las Vegas Nevada USA
Lovin'the drawer insert. Excited to see what you repurpose from the doors. As you do more trim work Sloe Patrols character is starting to show 🥰
Like the Danish oil idea.

That drawer insert looks great. That "too long" knife is now a new cooking knife and can live with the cooking utensils.
Evening James,
If you think your boats a mess, you should see the inside of my garage, I’ve got two of everything cause I can’t find anything 😁😁
We think a like James !
Job well done James ! Got a bit worried when the knife didn't fit..
Gee whizz! "5h1t a brick". I haven't heard that one for years :-)
A good ol’ favourite Aussie expression as well, tho you don’t hear it much these days .......

Mega professional cutlery drawer. Were you a carpenter at some point in the past? Or perhaps even a cabinet maker.
Thanks Chris but alas no - haven’t done much carpentry since school to be honest
I personally do not like handles. It is easier to clean with a hole. Good job on the drawers!
You are naughty
Yes, 'knobs' are a real nuisance! : o)
